The installation directions were just okay and took about an hour. It cools well in 100* temperatures, but I can't speak to how well it pulls out humidity since we are not in a humid area. The unit has a weak fan even on high, and I really wish it pushed the cold air harder to cool the rooms faster. However, my other units of different brands do the same thing. It does look nice and isn't loud on high, but that's because the fan is not forceful enough. Overall, it was a good purchase and I bought extended protection because I had a really expensive unit fail the second year in and was refunded without hassle. I recommend protecting yourself on this kind of purchase.
