A little noisy but cools well

I'll be honest, I expected it to be quieter. You definitely know when it's running. That said, it cools my small bedroom well and that's the main reason I bought it. I usually turn it on before bed and use the sleep setting. So for me it's a 4-star for noise but the cooling itself is good.

We had a really hot stretch and my upstairs room was miserable. I put this in the window and it made a big difference. The room isn't huge, so 5,000 BTU seems like a good match for what I'm using it for. The timer is nice too because I can set it before going to sleep.

I work from home and my office gets warm enough that I was constantly getting distracted. This keeps the room much more comfortable. I don't leave it running all day, so the energy saver mode and timer are useful for me. Pretty happy with it overall

My apartment doesn't have central AC, so I needed something for the bedroom. This has been pretty good so far. I like the three cooling speeds and the fact that I can switch it to fan only when I don't need the actual cooling. Installation was a little more fiddly than I expected, but once it was in the window, no problem

I bought this mainly for my bedroom and have been using the sleep setting most nights. Being able to turn it down once I'm comfortable is nice. The remote also means I don't have to reach over to the window every time I want to change something.

We have a guest room that doesn't get very good airflow from the rest of the house. A window unit seemed like the easiest solution. I like the timer because I can have it run for a while in the evening and not worry about it being on all night.

Nothing fancy here, but that's not really what I needed. It cools my small room and the controls are pretty straightforward. I do wish it was a little quieter, though. It's fine during the day but I notice the sound more when everything else is quiet

I’d use this kind of unit for a smaller bedroom where I don't need to cool the whole house. The remote and sleep mode is especially convenient at night. I like that it also has an energy saver setting
