I tried out the lens for the first time today with my new 70-300mm lens. I set it up over an ant nest and was able to take a selfie reflected on the backside of an ant. It's a whole new world to shoot.

I had a negative experience with a previous Raynox lens, but this new one has exceeded my expectations. It is incredibly sharp and easy to use, although getting used to the super macro capability may take some practice due to the shallow depth of field and need for critical focus. At $58, it's a great deal and I, as a retired professional photographer, highly recommend it.

I have been practicing using a macro lens with my Nikon P900 for a week now. I am new to macro photography and primarily use the camera's scene settings. I have not yet learned how to manually adjust the settings. Getting clear macro photos has been a challenge, likely due to my lack of knowledge about manual settings and not using a tripod. I specifically got this lens for iris photography and other subjects. I have been starting with photographing animals, which presents the additional challenge of dealing with a moving subject. The attached images are a bit blurry, but as a beginner, I am satisfied with them and recognize that there is room for improvement. I do not blame the lens, and believe that with practice, I will be able to produce the clear images this lens is capable of.
