I may not be a professional photographer, but I've always enjoyed taking macro shots. This diopter lens is of great quality for its price, and I even gave away my other macro lenses after getting this one. I use it with a Panasonic 45-200 on a G1, and it provides a 100mm to 18mm field of view and a 1mm depth of field, depending on the zoom and f-stop. There's no visible chromatic aberration or distortion, and the adapter ring is solid and easy to use. Some vignetting is mentioned for the G1's kit lens, but it may still be worth it.

The (Model 150) works well with my G85's 12-60 kit lens and the included clip holds it securely in place. I had to purchase a separate step up ring for my 45-175 lens. The macro shots are clear and nice, although not as sharp at the very edges as a dedicated macro lens. It's convenient and cost-effective for quick and clean changes in the field.

I highly recommend this lens for taking amazing super-macro photos. It's small and convenient to carry, and very user-friendly. I simply set my camera to aperture mode, focus to infinity, then adjust the camera to focus range and take the shot. I suggest using a tripod for the best results.

I have been using the Raynox lens extension on my Lumix FZ1000 camera. It's easy to attach and remove the extension, even while hiking and carrying it in my pocket. However, I struggle to tell when the image is in focus. It could be a camera lens issue or even my eyesight, but I solve this by taking multiple images with slightly adjusted focus. Overall, I am enjoying the Raynox and plan to get the DCR-250 for higher magnification. I recommend this lens for macro photography.

So far, I have been pleased with how this Lens has performed. It is compatible with my 200mm Micro Nikkor lens and provides a good increase in magnification with decent image quality. I have some concerns about the durability of the plastic construction and spring-tension mounting arrangement when using it in the field, but for now, it meets my needs.

This lens produces high-quality images but is best suited for smaller diameter lenses due to its 35mm diameter. It marginally works on an 18-110 (67mm) Nikon dx lens but performs well on the new 70-300 AF-P lens (58mm).

I was initially concerned about the snap-on design of this lens, so I purchased adapter rings for my cameras. However, I ended up using the snap-on adapter because it is well made and works effectively. I am surprised by negative reviews criticizing its quality, as it seems sturdy to me. The optical quality is excellent and exceeds my expectations. My only regret is choosing the 150 over the 250, which I may purchase in the future.

I enjoy shooting macro photography of small to large subjects such as ants, spiders, and butterflies. I purchased three Raynox DCR lenses, consisting of one DCR-150 and two DCR-250, which can be stacked for different levels of magnification. These lenses can be used forward or reversed for further adjustments. Additionally, I use a Fuji zoom lens to adjust magnification by zooming. I prefer having three separate lenses for stacking, as it provides more flexibility in magnification compared to being limited to a single lens. The spider I photographed was very small, and its colors and details were only visible when magnified. I use a Fuji XT-3 camera with bracketing and stack images in Helicon Focus 7 for my macro shots.

The instructions for this product were difficult to understand, leading to confusion and frustration. However, once I realized that the product had been assembled backwards, it worked fairly well. The push-button lens 'snaps' into the internal portion of typical lenses (52mm+), rather than onto the outside of the lens. Once properly assembled, the lens effectively decreases the focal length and converts non-macro lenses into decent macro lenses at a low cost. It also works on variable zoom lenses, as I tested with a 55mm-200mm lens. The focal length of the original lens was approximately 18-24 inches, and was reduced to 4-5 inches with the 'snap-on' macro lens.

I am extremely satisfied with these lenses. I own both the 150 and 250 for my Canon Powershot SX60 HS and I have found them to take outstanding pictures. I did have to sand down the part that clips onto the camera's lens to make it fit more easily, but now it goes on and off with no trouble. Using the lenses does require a learning curve in terms of moving in and back and forth, but there are helpful Youtube videos available to demonstrate this. Overall, I think these lenses are well-made and will last a long time if properly cared for.

The Raynox DCR-150 macro adapter is a great alternative to the DCR-250, as it is easier to focus handheld and at twice the distances. The image quality is exceptional, and it is small, light, and fast to add and remove from the lens. I use it with my Olympus OM-D E-M10 + Olympus 14-150mm II zoom and it instantly turns it into a macro lens. I highly recommend the DCR-150 for anyone considering a macro adapter.

I purchased this photography accessory and it exceeded my expectations. It works great with my Olympus Pen EPL-5 and the kit 40-150 mm lens, producing excellent photos. It has a narrow depth of field, so I recommend getting a macro slider rail. Despite an estimated delivery date of August 7th-27th, it arrived much sooner. The packaging was secure and it came in a nice plastic case. The only issue I have is that the lens cap is difficult to remove, but I plan on attaching a loop to make it easier. I also plan on getting the DCR-250.

This is a fantastic item! I have the DCR 150 and the DCR 250 in 52mm size, and I actually prefer the 150 because it gives me more range in terms of focus. I use it on my camcorder, and I can zoom in and out to get the perfect size for my subject. My camcorder has a maximum 10x optical zoom, and I've found that I need to zoom out to the end of range 2 to the beginning of range 3 to avoid vignetting. It also works with higher zoom settings on the camcorder, but the higher the zoom, the closer it gets to the subject. I just wish it would fit my larger diameter zoom Canon camera lenses.

I decided to purchase the 150 instead of the 250 after reading that the 250 was difficult to focus. I'm happy with my choice because the 150 focuses easily and allows for close-up shots. It works best with my Canon SX40hs at full or near full zoom. I wouldn't recommend it for a DSLR unless you have a zoom lens to use with it. I use it with my Tamron 70-300 @ 300 macro and the close-up shots are amazing. The image quality is excellent and I would recommend this lens to anyone interested in taking good macro shots.

This affordable option for exploring macro photography has been a valuable tool for me. The image results are impressive, but ultimately it showed me that my preference is for close focus rather than true macro. I mainly take photos outdoors, and I've found that true macro requires getting extremely close to the subject, which isn't always possible with creatures or in windy conditions. While I now have a greater appreciation for those who excel at true macro photography, I realize it's not for me. The 150 lens is a great choice for beginners.

I installed the G15 without needing to read the documentation, which was a big plus. The close ups are nice, but the rig for attaching the lens to the camera is quite bulky. However, I can overlook that. I use the plastic box to store filters and other necessities, so it's definitely worth keeping.

I bought the Raynox M-150 'add-on' diopter lens to use with my Nikkor 105G macro lens. With this combination, I can achieve a magnification range of 0.45:1 to 1.9:1, making true macro-photography much easier. The lens no longer struggles to find focus, and it has greatly improved my photography.

The clip-on lens is perfect for most point-and-shoot cameras, but for a dSLR, the lens needs to be able to see through the 43mm glass elements of the Raynox. The small thread size of the glass element holder may be why it's affordable. It's not suitable for use with a wide-angle lens on a dSLR, and with a normal or telephoto lens, you need to stop down to f/8, f/11, or even f/16. You can find sample images by searching for DCR-150, and there are dedicated Flickr groups for photos taken with these close-up accessories.

The optical quality of the lens is excellent and mounting it using the clip-mount system is fairly simple. The price is reasonable for the quality of the lens. However, be aware that depending on the focal length, there may be some vignetting. The packaging is quite bulky for the size of the lens, so a smaller fabric pouch would be more practical for protection and transportation.

I am very impressed with this converter lens for my Canon Powershot SX40. It maximizes macro photos, even though it is not a true macro lens. I will be purchasing the DCR-250 as well. The lens works well with the telephoto, but the depth of field is narrow and focusing can be tricky. I am getting a Macro focusing rail for my tripod to make it easier to make micro adjustments. I don't use the digital zoom feature on my camera and prefer natural lighting for my photos. I only make minor adjustments in Photoshop Elements 9. Overall, I highly recommend this lens.

I really love the high-quality images this adapter can produce. My only concern was the universal adapter that came with it not staying securely on my main lens, so I bought a step-down ring to fix that issue. With the ring, it works excellently. The threads at the end by the camera body are 46mm in diameter and the ones at the other side are 49mm. I also bought screw-on lens covers for both sides to keep it safe when not in use, as I wanted more confidence in protecting the lens than the slide-on covers provided.

This macro attachment lens works well with the kit 18-55 kit Nikon lens from 35mm to 55mm. The focal range is about 6 to 1.5 feet, and the resolution is good in the center, but softens at the edges depending on the lens being used. It may vignette images on short focal length lenses and lenses with large front elements. It is not recommended for use with these types of lenses. It can work on the Nikon 70-300 but with a very limited working focal range of about 1 foot. The spring mounting is secure, and while it is not a substitute for a dedicated macro lens, it is a worthwhile lightweight and compact addition for a travel kit for close focus work. It also works well on the Panasonic FZ 150, providing more options for close focus work, but it may vignette at wide angle.

I had been unable to find a Canon 250D close up lens in the 58mm size for a few months, so I decided to try the Raynox DCR 150. I have a Nikon D5100 with a 50mm F1.8G prime lens, and I was worried that the image quality might suffer with the Raynox being a smaller lens. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no noticeable darkening at the corners and the DCR 150 provided sharp close-up shots. I didn't encounter any chromatic aberration either. The real challenge was getting accurate focus on moving subjects, but using a small aperture and manual focus helped. Some reviewers mentioned difficulty removing the protective caps, but that wasn't a big issue for me. Overall, I found the Raynox DCR 150 to be an excellent product that exceeded my expectations.

The initial tests with this lens showed that it lives up to the positive reviews. It provides great clarity throughout the lens, not just in the middle like cheaper alternatives. These lenses have a well-known reputation and it seems to be well deserved. However, the reason for the 3-star rating is the issue with the lens caps. They are made of flexible plastic and fit tightly on both the front and rear. The problem with the front cap is that it is difficult to remove without any grip to pry it free, requiring a pen knife for removal. Additionally, once the universal mounting ring is on the lens, the rear cap cannot be put on. It would be helpful if they could design it so that the rear cap could be put on with the mounting ring still in place, as I currently have to store it with a rubber band to hold the rear cap in place.

I initially bought this Lens for my Canon G10, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it also worked well with my 70-300 Sigma lens on my Nikon D70. After testing it out with both lenses, I am extremely satisfied with the results. I am considering purchasing the 250 after my positive experience with the 150. The only issue I encountered was with the G10, but that was my own mistake as I was not aware that it had a detachable ring for affixing the converter.

I highly recommend this accessory for anyone looking to try macro photography without the expense of a dedicated macro lens. I have been using it on a Pentax K-r 55-300mm zoom lens and have been very pleased with the results. The optical quality is excellent, and it is easy to attach to almost any lens. This macro lens is excellent and easy to attach. It has a tight connection, but may have trouble with some macro ring lights. Overall, it's a great product for macro photography.

A Fantastic Small Macro Lens

After losing my Nikon screw on lenses, I decided to try out a different lens. While it may not look as fancy and is smaller in diameter, this lens is capable of taking very sharp pictures and performs well at partial zoom. I would suggest this lens to anyone in need of an easy to use macro lens for a point and shoot zoom camera. It's worth noting that I use an adapter and do not attach this to my lens directly.
