I am new to macro photography and recently attached this lens to my Canon Powershot SX40 HS. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pictures, especially those taken without a tripod. I found it easier to adjust the camera's position rather than using manual or autofocus.

I've been using this macro lens for a few days and I'm already loving it! It took me some time to figure out the right distance from the subject to get a clear focus, but once I did, the results with my NEX 6 and 55-210 lens have been impressive. I've only been into photography for a few months and I'm not a professional, but this macro lens has really exceeded my expectations. One great thing is that it doesn't require an additional connector to attach it to the 49mm lens opening. It comes with a quick connector that you can easily pinch and insert into the end of your lens, and it snaps into place.

This lens, while not as versatile or high-quality as a true macro lens, is a good option for those new to macro photography and on a budget. Its image quality is comparable to some macro lenses, but it has a very shallow depth of field and limited focus area.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but for the price, this lens has been excellent. I still plan to save for a Macro lens, but this works for me for now.

I have been loving using the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens for capturing tiny reversed images in raindrops on petals and leaves. When paired with my camera, it allows for some really incredible photos, but it does require a very steady hand due to the narrow depth of field. Using a tripod is recommended for anyone who prefers that method. I personally enjoy the freedom of movement when shooting, but it does require some extra care to ensure the focus is just right. The snap-on capability also allows for attachment to other lenses, but again, a tripod is necessary for this. Overall, I am very happy with this lens.

I initially had concerns about the image quality and potential blurring due to the low price of this product. However, those concerns were quickly put to rest as this turned out to be an amazing product. Like many others have mentioned, it took some practice to adjust to the magnification and I would recommend using a tripod for stability. Blurring is not an issue and the focused part of the image is incredibly sharp. My only complaint is that I wish the focal sweet spot was a little wider. Overall, this is a more affordable alternative to expensive lenses. A tip for finding the focal sweet spot is to zoom the camera in all the way and then adjust the distance of the actual camera to find the best focus.

I recently got a new camera and I couldn't afford a macro lens right now. I've used macro lenses with previous cameras and I really enjoy taking photos of flowers, which is perfect because my wife loves gardening. I've only taken a few photos with the Raynox so far, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. There is some vignetting at the corners with my current setup, but it's easy to crop out. The shallow depth of field is very impressive, even more so than with my other macro lenses. It's not a direct replacement for a conventional macro lens, but it's great for achieving super macro shots. In an ideal world, I would have unlimited funds for photography gear, but in reality, I have to make choices. I think the Raynox is a good choice for experienced photographers who want to try super macro photography, or for newbies who want to have fun with macro photography. It requires patience, but the results are worth it.

The lens functions adequately, but it cannot compete with a macro/close-up lens. It appears more like a toy than a professional tool.
