I have had a great experience using this lens with my Sony camera. The pushers on both sides make it simple to take the lens off the camera, which is very convenient when you want to switch back to the camera's normal capturing mode. I have been able to take high-quality pictures with this lens, almost comparable to what a professional lens can capture. I highly recommend this lens to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a macro lens. I give it a two thumbs up!

The lens I purchased came highly recommended and exceeded my expectations. It performs well in controlled tests, especially when used in the 80 to 300 range. However, it is not as sharp in the corners, especially with wide-angle lenses. Chromatic aberration is high, particularly in the outer edges of the frame. Despite these drawbacks, I have been able to capture some great shots in the field, although the autofocus is not as sharp or accurate as a real macro lens. The lens is a good value option for macro photography, especially for its convenience in clipping on and off. However, it does have some limitations, such as needing to be centered over the lens and the two-piece set not fitting into the camera bag well. After several months of use, I have found that I prefer using extension tubes instead. They provide better results and are a similar price. Therefore, I would recommend extension tubes over this lens for macro photography by default.

I have found a great substitute to a pricey macro lens for my Panasonic GH1 camera. The converter is well built and sturdy, and while it clips on to the lens, I recommend using a lens ring adapter for a more secure fit. I personally use a 52mm to 43mm adapter. I attach the converter to my 14mm-45mm lens and am ready to go quickly. It takes some practice to get the hang of using it, but when you capture your first successful macro shot, it's an amazing feeling. This device is super simple and effective, providing great macro functionality with any lens. As a newcomer to photography on a budget, it's a more than acceptable way to capture the details of life. I use it with a NEX-7 and a Pentax 28mm/f2.8 lens (with Fotodiox adapter) with a 52mm ring. Since my lens is manual focus only, I can't speak for using it with an autofocus lens, but the macro experience with manual focus is delightful. The build quality is excellent, with covers for both sides of the glass and a plastic case with foam. I absolutely recommend it.

After reading about this lens in some forums, I decided to test it out on my Canon SX40. I was pleasantly surprised by the results when I took some pictures in my neighborhood. This lens has a sweetspot that allows for perfect focus, although I had to adjust my camera back and forth to achieve it since my camera doesn't have much manual focus. Overall, I was impressed and think that with a DSLR, there would be even more potential for manual focus.

The Super Macro Lens is impressive, but it feels too heavy when paired with my powershot SX20 lens (which has a 58mm filter adapter and UV filter). The resulting pictures are amazing, but achieving a perfect focused image requires the use of an Image Stacking Software.

This lens isn't a replacement for a real macro lens, but it's enjoyable to use. I was disappointed to find that the fit isn't as universal as I had hoped. It doesn't clip onto my 49mm lenses because it's also 49mm. I was looking forward to using it with my Pentax f2.8 40mm pancake and f2.4 35mm, but it doesn't fit. So, I can only use it on my kit and zoom lenses, which require good lighting conditions to produce decent results.

I am pleased with the results I get using the Canon t3i and my 50mm 1.8 canon lens. It requires patience due to the small depth of field, even with the f/stop set at 18. Using a tripod, long exposure, and flash can help with this. I find recording video easier and more interesting than photography. Overall, I think it's a good option for macro photography without having to spend a lot of money. If you're interested in macro photography, I suggest trying this snap-on lens before investing in more expensive equipment.
