    High-Quality Lens
Review by Hudson / (Posted on 1/13/2010)
I bought this lens because of the positive reviews and I'm really happy with it. It does everything it's supposed to do, but it takes some practice to get really clear shots. It has a very shallow depth of field, but when it's in focus, it's great. So far, I haven't noticed any issues with the lens. I love using it for macro photography and I'm always looking for interesting things to take pictures of. It's a great addition to my other lenses for my Canon S5. I would recommend this lens to anyone who enjoys macro photography, and it's affordable too!

A Simple Path to Macro Photography on SLR
    Review by E. / (Posted on 5/18/2009)
This lens seems well-designed and reasonably priced, with excellent build quality and a convenient snap-on universal mount. However, there may be significant vignetting when attaching it to most lenses. Despite this, the clarity of the image magnification it offers is superb and, with the high MP rating of most cameras, there is still plenty of room for cropping for prints. When using this with a lens, be prepared to hunt for the right focus, as it may require getting very close to the subject. Some have suggested sticking to manual focus, but I have found that autofocus can still be helpful, especially for fine-tuning the focus within the sharp depth of field. Overall, I have found it to be a good combination with my Nikon D90 and 18-105 kit lens.
