The magnified glass is excellent, but achieving great results requires plenty of practice.

It took some time to adjust to, but after using it for a while, it really helped me create some great macros. I would definitely recommend it!

I easily gave this product a 5-star rating for its price. Once I received it, I quickly attached it to my Nikkor 50mm 1.8G lens and went out to photograph sugar ants. When I first looked through the lens and tried to focus, I was a bit surprised by the extremely short focal distance and very thin depth of field. The auto-focus struggled a bit, especially with moving subjects, so I had to manually fine-tune and physically move back and forth to get the perfect shot. It only took a few tries to figure it out, but I was pleased with the pictures I got. Then I attached it to my Nikkor 70-300mm VR lens and was amazed at the level of detail I captured on the small critters, especially at 200mm and 300mm. The depth of field was even thinner at this range, so I closed my aperture as much as possible and was blown away by the results. With a little more time using this combination, I will be able to take some great macro shots until I eventually invest in an actual macro lens. I can't wait to see what I can capture when I combine a macro lens with this product. Overall, the build quality of this product was better than I expected, making it a win all around.

The snap on macro lens I got didn't improve my macro photography as much as I had hoped. Its shallow depth of field made it difficult to focus, and using a focus rail with photo stacking was necessary to get the best results. In comparison, I had better luck with my 18-55mm kit lens and macro filter lenses. I am considering selling the snap on lens.

I had a great experience using this lens on my Nikon P520. The build quality and image quality with the additional piece of glass on the lens were impressive. It worked best in the 500-600mm range of zoom on manual focus. To get the perfect shot, I would prepare with my finger on the shutter, then adjust the camera until I had perfect focus before taking the shot.

I primarily focus on shooting macro shots and was running into limitations with my 90mm macro lens and tube extensions. I wanted to increase magnification even further, and the Raynox 250 allowed me to do just that. It is a bit more challenging to use with my ring flash, but still manageable. Overall, it has been a great addition to my photography gear.

This attachment is fantastic for taking great macro pictures in a cost-effective way. It is easy to attach and remove, although I do wish the lens covers were easier to remove and could be put on while the lens is attached to the camera to prevent scratching.
