I have been using Impecca vacuum cleaners for over 25 years and have consistently experienced two problems with them - the power head frequently malfunctions and the wand is too heavy and falls over. However, I recently purchased a model that is advertised as lightweight and pet-friendly, and I have found it to be effective at picking up pet hair and much quieter than my old vacuum. If only I could get the wand to stay upright as shown in the picture, I would give my purchase a 5-star rating.

The vacuum has multiple setting combinations for carpet and hardwood floors, with different degrees of suction power. The self-propelled carpet mode requires steering, while the hardwood mode is not self-propelled. Pull out the long cord completely before turning on the vacuum, as the cord compartment gets warm during use. The cannister is clumsy to pull around and the wand is difficult to stand up without falling over. Overall, it is better than the Oreck but harder to store due to its size.

The vacuum is fantastic and incredibly convenient for a smaller apartment. I had the previous model for nearly a decade without any issues until it eventually stopped working. I highly recommend it.

This vacuum is small, compact, and light, with plenty of suction and is pretty quiet. The accessory holder seems like an afterthought, and the hook that the wand hooks into to stand doesn't seem very substantial. Overall, I would give it 4.5 stars.

This vacuum is exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to manipulate and has great suction power.

I appreciate how much lighter this vacuum is compared to my old Impecca vacuum, which we purchased to replace our 15-year-old one. I do wish that the handle for dragging it around was located on the top of the canister rather than the bottom, as it would be more convenient. It works well on my old worn carpet and helps to fluff it up a bit. The handheld section with the rotating brush glides nicely across the floor, but it doesn't work well on bare floors or linoleum, so I have to switch out to the bare floor attachment. It's also difficult to use on carpeted stairs, so I still need a separate stick vacuum for those. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the new model.

I had high hopes for this vacuum after my old one died. Setting it up was easy and it seems to clean floors fine. However, the fan duster is not effective and the crevice tool is difficult to put back on. The head of the vacuum is too large to go under furniture, and the detached brush doesn't work well either. Additionally, the vacuum is heavy and caused wrist pain after just 30 minutes of use. I used to be able to quickly take the stem and head off to clean up dirt, but now it requires an additional tool. The noise level is about the same as my old vacuum, so no progress has been made in that area. I plan to contact the manufacturer to see if there are other options available, as I cannot continue to use this vacuum with the wrist pain it causes.

I have always been a fan of this brand and style of vacuum. This is my third one, as my first lasted over 10 years and the second one lasted about 4 years before the wand broke. I then tried a different brand, but it lost suction over time and is now used for the garage. I decided to go back to this brand and while I do love the vacuum, I feel like they have become cheaper in quality. The carpet floor head doesn't connect properly and often slides off while I'm vacuuming, which is very frustrating. I also miss the ability to adjust the suction strength, as this model only has the option for full suction or none at all. The hard floor head attachment is also smaller than it used to be, leading to frequent clogging. However, I am satisfied with the purchase, especially since I got it at a great price. It does a fantastic job with dog hair, which is important to me as we have three dogs.
