item: 1 week trial. Functioning effectively up to this point.
Review by Edward / (Posted on 7/7/2022)
This unit works just as well as a larger 20A unit I used to have, and it's much quieter. I use it to cool my 900 sq. ft. open floor plan first floor, and it keeps the temperature at 72 even during the constant 100F+ highs we've been having. It works very well for me, but results may vary depending on the amount of shade in your area.

The remote has a temperature sensor, but it's an IR remote that needs line-of-sight, so I don't find that feature very useful. The unit's internal temperature sensor works well enough for me.

When the compressor kicks on, it dims all the lights on the circuit. I haven't tested the energy usage yet, but it hasn't tripped the breaker on the same circuit as my home theater system and game consoles. (However, my breakers are 40 years old, so I'm not sure if they work properly.)

AC Unit with a Few Minor Flaws
Review by Eibon / (Posted on 7/7/2022)
The 15,000 BTU AC unit can be easily separated from the holding frame for installation, but I encountered design flaws in the railing system, including wasp tunnels that needed to be sealed. The assembly line crew also damaged one of the foam liners, and the kit did not accommodate my metal window frame, requiring improvisation for installation. However, once everything was fixed and sealed, the AC unit efficiently cooled my room, despite its large size compared to my lab. I recommend larger AC units for smaller rooms for more efficient and quick cooling.
