Despite being in a financial bind during a heat wave, I decided to purchase this unit as a temporary fix for my broken central air conditioning. It has been a lifesaver, providing much-needed relief from the oppressive heat. The only downside is that it doesn't quite fit my window due to its short slides, but overall, it's been a great purchase for the price.

This product did not arrive in its original packaging, so it was no surprise to find damaged cooling fins when I opened the taped up box. They were only slightly bumped, but enough to prevent air from passing through them. Additionally, the unit was very loose in the box and likely not in good condition. Despite this, I followed the instructions and let it sit for 24 hours to let the refrigerant settle, and it does work well. I can cool my 10 x 12 room from 85����F to 70����F in 4 to 6 hours when it's 105����F outside. However, I recommend buying more foam insulation, as the provided material is not enough for a side by side window installation. It has been a month and the unit is still working well, so I am hopeful for its longevity.
