This air conditioning unit was a lifesaver after our apartment's AC system broke down. Living in Texas, it's unbearable to have no AC with temperatures over 95 degrees every day and high humidity. The delivery was timely and the packaging was nice. The maintenance staff installed it, so it must be easy to do. It doesn't come with a remote, but other than that, it's great. You can use just the fan or the cold air, and it's easy to choose the setting. The 5000 BTU unit is perfect for my daughter's room and it gets really cold. If the door is open, the cold air filters throughout the apartment. The outside needs to be wiped down occasionally, and the side filter needs to be removed and rinsed off. The noise level isn't bad and is actually preferred, as my daughter used to sleep with a fan for noise. It's a great price, and I would buy it again if needed.

The performance of this item is good, but it can be a bit noisy. It effectively cools the bedroom and, with the help of a floor fan, it also helps to keep other areas cool.
