It keeps my bedroom cool and I can easily slide it back inside and close the Accessory door when not in use. I also installed a Midea air conditioner in the living room which uses 500 watts, and both units can run on solar battery power without the need for an expensive soft start. Adding a drawer slide and compartment door to the outside allows the AC units to slide out for proper water draining. I love the convenience and cost savings compared to expensive rooftop air conditioners. I also added an Alexa voice option to turn the AC on and off, but be sure to avoid the electronic remote control model if you use Alexa.

The installation of this unit is relatively simple, but depending on your window styles and frames, you may encounter some moderate complications that require fabricating or adding small pieces that you may not have on hand. This could include wood, plastic, or cardboard as simple space fillers and support, if necessary. It's a good idea to have tape on hand to seal up any cracks or crevices where edges don't meet flush, and specialty weatherproofing and sealing tape may be recommended. However, I have used simple clear packing tape in the past, which worked well and was easy to remove for winter storage. Fortunately, I did not need any of these things for this particular unit. Once all the screws and fasteners are in place, the unit feels solid, sits securely, and runs great. I couldn't be happier with it.

This compact unit was able to keep our room at a cool 66���� for an entire week during the intense heatwave in Northwest Indiana. Despite the very humid summers in the area, it performed admirably. I am very happy with its performance, and the fact that it fits perfectly in my small 16 window is a huge bonus. It's not as noisy as it seems in the video, I believe my phone just picked up the sound more.
