I appreciate that it switches to a neutral fan when the temperature drops, preventing it from blasting cold air into an already cool room. I've had this brand before and it lasted through a couple of summer seasons, effectively cooling our tiny 768 square foot house in moderate heat. However, during the recent week with temperatures over 100 degrees, it struggled to cool down the house at night. While it takes the edge off, it can't quite keep up with the extreme heat. It would be better suited for a master bedroom or garage, but for the price and size, it's a great value.

I purchased this manual model based on the recommendations for size, cooling capacity, and noise level. It met the specific requirements for A/C models in our apartments perfectly. The unit arrived in perfect condition and was well-packed. It does an excellent job of cooling a 152sf room with a Southern exposure in the Pacific Northwest. Even when installed in a South facing location, it runs smoothly and is quieter than our window fan. It comes with louvers for the sides, but I chose not to use them and instead used extricated acrylic, which was easy to install. The unit is sturdy and looks nice, and the apartment managers like the aesthetic. It is also cheaper than a casement unit, even with the acrylic. I am very pleased with my purchase, especially in our 100���� weather.
