I purchased a Kenmore through the wall air conditioner from Sears, and it's the exact same unit as my 14-year-old one, so it was an easy replacement. I just had to remove the old unit, put in the new one, and plug it in.

The remote is well-designed and effective, and the universal wall sleeve was not necessary. However, the instructions are lacking, but there are extra parts included for various setups. Shipping was slow, and I did not receive the extended warranty paperwork I paid for, which is disappointing. Despite some minor noise outside, the AC works well and blows cold. Overall, I am pleased with this air conditioning unit.

I recently purchased this AC after owning an LG one, so I want to share my perspective to help others. I don't understand why someone rated 2 star, as I found the shipping to be excellent and the installation easy. The AC is not very noisy, in fact, it's quieter than my LG one. The remote has a clear and nice screen, unlike my LG remote. I appreciate the separate night mode option and the 8-way cool air direction. The price is also better and it cools the room nicely.

This unit is excellent. It cools quickly and has good regulation. The remote is also a nice addition. It includes a full foam set, back grate, and frame, and was packaged well with no damage. Most importantly, it was delivered in less than 48 hours.

We bought this air conditioner to replace an existing through the wall unit. If you don't already have one installed, you'll need to purchase a sleeve. Installing the new unit was simple, it just slides in. Once installed, it quickly cooled our living room and kitchen, and the remote is easy to use. It's also quieter than our previous window units. The only downside is the packaging, which was damaged, but luckily the unit itself was not. I will update this review if any issues arise.
