However, I am only giving it four stars because it seems like the product did not undergo proper quality control. Despite this, I still recommend purchasing the three-year insurance for added peace of mind.

This dehumidifier works exceptionally well and is surprisingly quiet. Occasionally, it may hum a bit louder or vibrate, but a simple tap usually fixes it. Compared to other brands I've owned in the past, this unit is far more effective. I've had issues with Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Dandy dehumidifiers breaking after just a couple of summers. Repair costs were often high and not always successful. I've had to replace them multiple times. I'll update if this unit stops working, but so far I highly recommend it. I am very pleased with this dehumidifier.

This gesture really demonstrates their commitment to their products and customer satisfaction. The new unit is working perfectly, and I am extremely satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again if the need arises.

I initially thought my Item was broken, but then I realized I just needed to clean the filter and coils, which had caused them to freeze up. After unplugging it for a few days to thaw, I plugged it back in and it's now working perfectly. It's still a bit noisy, but it's in the basement, so it's not a problem. We bought this dehumidifier in July 2020 and it has been a reliable workhorse. It runs almost non-stop when needed and has been very effective at maintaining our desired humidity levels. We've noticed that it also helps our A/C run more efficiently in the hot months. However, we recently encountered an issue where the dehumidifying element stopped working, even though the fan motor continued to run. We tried cleaning it, but couldn't get it fixed, so we'll have to buy another one. Overall, we have been happy with the unit and don't mind spending the money to keep the air dryer.

After using the Impecca unit in my finished basement for less than 2 years, it started freezing up on the coils. Despite turning it off and letting it thaw out, it continued to freeze up in just 5 minutes. I suspect a refrigerant leak. In contrast, my Frigidaire unit in the garage portion of my basement, where wet cars are parked, has been running great for over 4 years. I won't be buying Impecca again. Their 1 year warranty pales in comparison to Frigidaire's 5 year warranty.

Update: After the company saw my review, they reached out to me via email and asked me to contact them. It turns out that the unit has a 2 year warranty if purchased from Amazon. They promptly replaced my unit and shipped it out quickly. While they didn't ask me to change my review, I am giving them two stars for their customer service.

I am extremely satisfied with my recent acquisition of a 50 PT dehumidifier from Impecca. The quality is exceptional considering the price.
