I purchased this air conditioner because my old one was too loud. It's for my small living room and kitchen, but it doesn't cool as well as my previous air conditioners. It works well on the highest cooling setting. I guess you get what you pay for, and I needed something quieter that would cool down my apartment. It's perfect if you let it run for about 20 minutes.

I had to get used to the manual controls, but this air conditioner has been a reliable workhorse for a few months now. It hasn't significantly increased our electric bill, but we don't keep our country house very cold. The fan runs constantly, even when the compressor is not, which took some getting used to as I'm used to the fan only coming on when the compressor does.

Other brands I've tried had problems with the screen not fitting the windows, but these are a perfect fit with a good seal. The price is very reasonable, and with Prime, they arrived the next day. I was especially happy to have them so quickly because my central air went out and I needed relief.

Despite the 90-degree temperature outside, the inside of my 500 sq. ft. cabin remains a comfortable 74 degrees. The air conditioner effectively cools down the large room, which is approximately 400 sq. ft. with a high ceiling. I have the air conditioner set to low cool, at about 8 out of 10 on the temperature setting, and it works wonders. Highly recommend!
