I bought this air conditioner in October 2019 and didn't use it much until this year. It started blowing hot air in late February, so I contacted customer service. Due to the pandemic, I couldn't get it repaired or take it to a shop. But customer service responded quickly and sent me a replacement. The new unit has been working great, even in hot weather. It's quiet and I use it all day and night. I'm very satisfied and would buy it again.

The price is really good and the atmosphere is quiet.

This AC unit is a great choice for an older apartment with a wall sleeve. It's from Impecca, a private label manufacturer for Sears, and it arrived in perfect condition. It uses advanced refrigerant, has digital controls, and a dehumidifying setting. It's not completely silent, but if installed properly with the correct wall sleeve and insulation, it's as quiet as any $500 unit on the market. It works well in a 14x16 bedroom, keeping it comfortable on a hot day. Just make sure to refuse delivery if it's damaged and follow the installation instructions carefully.

The unit was delivered promptly and installation was straightforward. It required some precision to properly position the foam insulation strips, but the unit runs quietly and quickly cooled the room. The entire installation process, including removing the old unit and clearing out any nests, took approximately an hour.

The installation instructions provided with the unit were not to my liking, but I was able to use my mechanical skills to modify the installation method. After initially following the provided instructions and being dissatisfied, I removed the unit from the wall sleeve, took measurements, and reinstalled it using quarter pine stock, foam insulation tape, and air conditioner foam insulation for a better installation. This was done last spring, and the AC unit worked well all summer, costing me about half the price of a Friedrich replacement unit made for the wall sleeve.

This through-the-wall AC is the most affordable option I found on Amazon. I would prefer a window AC unit for its lower cost, but the downside is that you have to block part of the window.

I've been using this unit for about a week and it's been working well. I didn't encounter any problems with the packaging, unlike some others. My condo is small, around 350Sq ft, and this unit is able to effectively cool the living room/kitchen area to the desired temperature of 79 - 80 degrees Fahrenheit in Energy saving mode. Installation was easy, especially with an existing wall sleeve. The only issue I have is with the reliability of the Follow Me Remote. It has trouble sending the temperature to the AC unit, even at a short distance with a clear line of sight. Additionally, the unit's temperature reading is inaccurate and tends to show the room as 3 degrees cooler than it actually is. I solved this by setting the AC temperature 3 degrees cooler than my desired room temperature. Despite this issue, the unit performs well in energy saving mode. Overall, I'm satisfied with it, but will keep an eye out for any other potential issues.
