I purchased a couple of these fans a few years ago and found them to be fragile. One broke when I dropped it and the other stopped working after a year or two. However, I work in a place without air conditioning in the summer and excessive heat in the winter, and these fans were very helpful in my small work area. I recently bought a couple more and found that the newer version is actually better. The fans are made of a softer plastic and the battery compartment is improved. It also seems to have more power and is lighter. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and am looking forward to using them at work.

Pros:
1. It is very portable, making it easy to carry around.
2. It uses 2 D size batteries which are easily accessible, and you can also use rechargeable batteries to save money.
3. You can use other battery sizes with the appropriate adapter.
4. It operates with low noise.

Cons:
1. It is only suitable for one person as it is too small to cool more than one person.
2. It makes a loud noise when adjusting the base, but once set, further adjustment is not necessary.
3. It does not come with an adapter to plug into an outlet, and you cannot purchase one separately.
4. The battery cover does not close when using rechargeable batteries, but can be modified to close properly. It closes smoothly when using alkaline batteries.
5. It may not come in the color advertised in the publication.
