Quality Intense!!
Review by Kellie / (Posted on 4/14/2024)I have bought many FanFair fans from Walmart, but I found a better one on seller. This fan is really powerful - even its low setting is as strong as the high setting on the FanFair fans. If you need to cool down fast, this fan is the way to go. -
Quality fan
Review by Lisa-Jo / (Posted on 4/10/2024)The fan is extremely durable and strong. We use it frequently at work and it has proven to be long-lasting. -
Quality Spot on
Review by KEVIN / (Posted on 4/5/2024)The fan functions as stated. -

Quality Excellent portable fan for on-the-go use

Quality Optimal fit!

Quality Great Sleep Assistance
Review by ksn18 / (Posted on 3/5/2024)This fan provides the perfect amount of sound, not too loud. It is also aesthetically pleasing and will be great for bringing to motels. -
Quality White Noise Sound fan: Perfect for Sleeping at Night
Review by TS / (Posted on 2/29/2024)I have purchased this fan in the past and I really like it because it runs on batteries, making it convenient for traveling. It has a gentle noise level that reminds me of white noise, helping me to fall asleep easily. -
Quality Adore this fan
Review by Mia / (Posted on 2/28/2024)This product has 2 speeds and a compact size, but I dislike that it requires 4 screws to put in the batteries. -
Quality Awesome fans!
Review by Bill / (Posted on 2/21/2024)This product helped us during 4 power outages very effectively. It's lightweight yet powerful and user-friendly. It proved its reliability when we needed it the most. There's nothing more to say. -
Quality Enthusiastic Travel Enthusiast!
Review by Tammydee / (Posted on 2/20/2024)I bought this fan while visiting my daughter in another state and it's perfect for me. I like to have some background noise at night and this fan provides a soothing sound. It also does a great job of keeping me cool when the heater is on. It's convenient that it comes with an A/C power cord and can also run on batteries. Plus, it's flat and easy to pack in my suitcase for the trip home. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this fan. -
Quality Incredible
Review by Kay / (Posted on 2/12/2024)We are thrilled to have found an outdoor fan that is so easy to use. It's a good size and very durable. -
Quality Enthusiastic fan
Review by ELJEFE / (Posted on 2/10/2024)This fan is very quiet and operates smoothly. It offers two speed levels for customization and is surprisingly powerful despite its compact and lightweight design. -
Quality Great little fan
Review by Mia / (Posted on 2/5/2024)I bought this small, lightweight fan for travel and it has exceeded my expectations. It will be great for providing a breeze and white noise on upcoming trips. -
Quality Excellent handheld fan!
Review by Huskymomma / (Posted on 1/8/2024)This fan is perfect for keeping our camper cool on hot days. It works really well and it's so convenient to have a fan when there are no power outlets. -
Quality Cooling fan for a refreshing breeze.
Review by Barb / (Posted on 1/4/2024)This fan is a great solution when the power goes out or when the air conditioning is not enough. I use it for hours at a time and even have two of them. -
Quality Simple and user-friendly!
Review by Bubba / (Posted on 11/14/2023)Convenient for use in a compact area! -
Quality Whispers beginning
Review by Dixie / (Posted on 11/8/2023)I appreciate the quietness of this fan while opening and using it in meetings, as my previous ones were quite noisy. I have given several as gifts and love them. They are Cool!! ;-} -
Quality Handheld Cooling Device
Review by Kel / (Posted on 11/2/2023)This fan is used as an exhaust fan in the bathroom window and it works well. It operates quietly and has 2 speeds, which is nice. However, the battery life could be better as we go through D size batteries more often than we would like. Despite this, it suits our needs and is good value for the price. We would recommend this item. -
Quality Functions smoothly
Review by Minami / (Posted on 10/12/2023)Purchased as a backup for cooling during power outages in hot weather. The assembly instructions were not very clear and there were two small parts that seemed unnecessary. However, the unit runs perfectly fine without them. I kept the parts just in case they become necessary in the future. -
Quality Great for a camping adventure!
Review by Sarah / (Posted on 9/30/2023)This fan was great for my houseboat trip this summer. The hot, humid weather made the sleeping area stuffy, but this battery-powered fan helped move the air and made it more comfortable. My only issue was the difficulty of removing the back to insert the batteries. However, it's reasonably quiet and convenient when there are no electric outlets available. Overall, it's a good value. -
Quality Handy and convenient
Review by Mckimisah / (Posted on 9/28/2023)This product is great for staying cool outdoors in the summer when there's no power source nearby. It's a bit loud but it works well. If you don't have access to an outlet, you can use 6 D-size batteries, but that can get costly. I would buy it again. -
Quality Improving Airflow
Review by Marie / (Posted on 9/18/2023)I was initially confused by the battery compartment, but once I figured it out, the fan works well. To use, turn the fan backwards, flip down the battery compartment, snap it open, and insert the right side D battery first. Make sure the switch is in the center position and then insert the left side D battery. Snap the compartment shut - no need to touch any of the screws. If the switch is pushed towards the back of the fan, it's on low. If the switch is pushed towards the fan, it's on high. Both settings provide good airflow. This is a desktop fan, so for the best experience, keep it within a couple of feet of you. I'm using these only in case of power outage, so this is the best review I can do at this time. -
Quality Long-lasting personal fan that performs excellently.
Review by richard / (Posted on 9/13/2023)We've had a few of the earlier model of this fan. They work well for personal use when it's hot, and they can last for years on the same set of batteries with occasional use. We just replaced a set of batteries from 2013. -
Quality This is my preferred fan and I, along with this fan, endured the heat.
Review by Nononse / (Posted on 9/11/2023)The problem is that the fan doesn't stay charged and I end up spending more money on batteries every month than I did on the fan itself. -
Quality Compact and potent
Review by Rita / (Posted on 9/3/2023)This is my second time buying this fan. I had the first one for years before it got lost. It's a small, quiet, and very powerful fan. It's perfect for a desk, camping, power outages, etc. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's a bit heavy with the batteries in. It takes two D cell batteries, so it's going to weigh a little, but I bought another one because it's a good fan and I wanted it for travel and didn't want the extra weight. -
Quality Incredible Bang for Your Buck
Review by Bornstein / (Posted on 8/28/2023)This small portable fan is great for use at close distances. I like to place it on my bathroom sink while doing my makeup, and it would also work well on a desk. It has two speeds, runs on two D batteries, and the color blends in nicely with any color scheme. -
Quality Modified fan: Functions effectively
Review by lmclure / (Posted on 8/19/2023)The air conditioning unit stopped working early this year, but we managed to get through the summer without it. We're now waiting for the government to decide on new standards. They have been helpful so far. -
Quality Cool tiny fan!
Review by Renee / (Posted on 7/27/2023)This little addition helps to create cross air flow with my main big fan, which is great for keeping me cool. -
Quality Functions perfectly
Review by GloryBells / (Posted on 7/26/2023)This fan is fantastic! It can be powered by D batteries or plugged in with the included adapter, and has high and low settings for great air flow. It's also quiet, which I really appreciate. I actually have two of them and love them, but I do struggle a bit with putting the battery compartment in place because the batteries push up on it. It would probably be easier for someone with larger, stronger hands. It might not be the best choice for someone with weak or arthritic hands, but I still think it's a great fan overall. -
Quality 5 inch battery operated fan, essential for emergencies.
Review by Paula / (Posted on 7/25/2023)I purchased this compact 5 inch fan on a whim to help cool down my face, and it has been a lifesaver. It runs on 2-D batteries which have a long lifespan, and I always make sure to have extra batteries on hand by buying different sizes each month. It's a great addition to any hurricane or storm preparedness kit. -
Quality Handy cooling fan. I really enjoy it.
Review by babygame / (Posted on 7/23/2023)I am really impressed with how much air this fan puts out, it's great. However, I am frustrated that I can't seem to close the battery compartment in the back. I've tried everything but no luck. I would appreciate it if the company could reach out to help me with this issue. Eventually, my daughter was able to close the compartment and now the fan works perfectly. I purchased it as a backup for power outages during a hurricane, and I liked it so much that I bought another one as a Christmas gift for my family. I appreciate that there aren't too many complicated options for using it. -
Quality Awesome fan with Great Features
Review by Roger / (Posted on 7/19/2023)The battery-operated fan was a lifesaver during the power outage in Florida. It's small, quiet, and gives a good breeze on both low and high power settings. You can use batteries or plug it in, and it even has a USB connection to charge your phone. The only issue I had was closing the battery cover when inserting the batteries, but I figured it out in the end. Overall, it's exactly what I needed for staying cool during the outage. -
Quality Compact travel size
Review by Mia / (Posted on 7/17/2023)The fan is great for traveling and works well. It will be useful during power outages. I also bought more to give as gifts. -
Quality Neither Nor
Review by Marcella / (Posted on 7/13/2023)The fan can be used with six D-cell batteries or plugged into a wall socket, but the adaptor must be removed for battery power. The battery compartment cover may be difficult to open and close for some, especially those with arthritic hands. However, the fan is quiet and lacks annoying lights, making it suitable for nighttime use. -
Quality Non-rechargeable, requires D batteries
Review by Donna / (Posted on 7/8/2023)The fan is nice, but I didn't realize it wasn't rechargeable when I ordered it. It takes D batteries, which aren't included. I'll keep it, but I'll look for a rechargeable fan since I have frequent power outages where I live in Texas. -
Quality Big fan!
Review by Jeff / (Posted on 7/6/2023)I have been using this fan for over a year now and I love it. It has two speeds and the highest speed is really strong. I take it with me everywhere because I always need a fan, even when I visit friends and family who don't have one. It's easy to carry around and can run on batteries. I definitely recommend it. -
Quality Endured nearly 3 years of uninterrupted usage
Review by T / (Posted on 7/4/2023)In July 2020, I purchased two of these fans. I appreciated their ability to run on both plug-in power and batteries, making them useful as emergency fans during power outages without wasting batteries during regular use. One fan ran almost constantly and eventually burned out after three years, but it remained powerful until the end despite some dust build-up. The other fan, which was used less frequently, is still in good condition. -
Quality Essential
Review by Andrea / (Posted on 7/1/2023)I absolutely love this fan! It was a lifesaver during a recent power outage caused by a derecho. I liked it so much that I bought a second one, along with some batteries. The prices on the seller's site were much cheaper than at my local store. I highly recommend buying the fan and batteries at the same time, and also getting a battery-operated lantern for any future power outages. This fan is not only great for keeping cool, but it's also portable, making it perfect for taking with you anywhere. I even bought a second one for my dog, who loves it as much as I do. Plus, it has lights, which is a bonus. Overall, it's lightweight and makes me and my dog much happier, even when we're tripping over things in the dark. -
Quality fan utilized for disaster relief
Review by Martha / (Posted on 6/9/2023)The lantern was taken to the Bahamas by my husband for disaster relief and lasted two nights on high with one set of batteries. Although it did not last more than one season, we ordered another one due to the lack of electricity for charging rechargeable ones during disaster relief. -
Quality Pleasant
Review by TLott / (Posted on 5/23/2023)This battery-operated fan is great for taking on the go. I bought it to replace my old one from the same brand and would give it five stars, but the button for the low setting is difficult to turn on. I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it for such a small issue, but otherwise, the fan works well. -
Quality Camping trip without electricity
Review by Wife / (Posted on 5/19/2023)The product was great with the option for battery operation, making it handy during power outages. Its portability also made it perfect for camping, and it provided a nice breeze on our porch during meals or card games at home. -
Quality Great for outdoor excursions
Review by Host / (Posted on 4/29/2023)This device works well both plugged in and on battery power, making it more comfortable in hot, humid conditions outdoors. However, the battery life could be improved. -
Quality Silent and space-saving fan with sufficient airflow
Review by lel / (Posted on 10/6/2022)I purchased this fan because it has both battery and electricity options. I needed a battery-powered fan for power outages but also wanted the option to use electricity. The price was great, but I found one issue with the design. The back panel of the fan has two spring-loaded screws for the battery compartment, which I think are unnecessary. A latch would have been sufficient. It requires 6 C batteries, so be sure to have a good supply if you plan to use it for a while. I didn't have 6 C batteries to test it, but I assume it will work fine. I tested the two speeds using electricity and it worked well. -
Quality Affordable fan with great value
Review by Lahiru / (Posted on 7/24/2022)I bought this fan to use during a power outage because all of my devices are USB powered or electric, and I wanted something that operated on batteries. This fan requires 2 D size batteries and has a weighted base made up of the battery case. It tilts and has two speeds, one of which is very quiet. The tilt feature allows the fan to fold almost flat, making it portable for camping or use in a vehicle. It's also suitable for use on a nightstand and can be used by one person without disturbing another. However, the fan only tilts forward due to the placement of the battery compartment, which may be a problem depending on where it's placed. Overall, it's a good, light, portable, and quiet fan that will keep you cool during a power outage. -
Quality Efficient and compact!
Review by Catherine / (Posted on 6/10/2022)These mini fans are exactly what I was looking for - small, compact, and effective. They have two speeds, which is impressive for their size, and can be tilted to any position. They give off a great deal of cool air and fold up for easy transport. I love that they run on batteries, saving on my electric bill. I even bought a pair for my brother and ended up getting a second pair for myself because I love them so much. I highly recommend this product and hope others will love it as much as I do! -
Quality Superb handheld fan and extremely easy to carry
Review by stevielynne28 / (Posted on 7/6/2021)These fans were a great purchase for our outdoor event in July. We used them for four hours on high with no issues. I love that they are lightweight and fold up easily. They fit into a regular gift bag along with other items and were easy to carry. Our friends were jealous and wish they had brought fans too. We'll also use them for visiting warmer homes and outdoor events. Living in Florida, they'll be handy during power outages. Overall, this was a great purchase and I look forward to using them for years to come. -
Quality Jumpstart your RV fridge with this fan
Review by RTM / (Posted on 11/23/2020)We have an RV parked elsewhere on 15A shore power, so we bring it back home before a camping trip to pack up. We haven't invested in wiring up a 30A outlet at our house, so it takes 24 hours to cool the fridge and freezer. To speed up the process, we put frozen lemonade bottles in the fridge and use a fan to circulate the cold air. It works well and cools the fridge in about an hour. The fan doesn't put off a lot of air, but it has lasted for over 50 hours on the original batteries. It's a good value for the price, although there are similar models with the option for an AC adapter to consider. -
Quality Slim design fits perfectly on window ledge. Only the highest power setting operates.
Review by Voracious / (Posted on 8/17/2020)I purchased this fan to put in my window and provide a gentle breeze while I sleep. It fits well on the sill and the cord is just long enough to reach the outlet. However, the low setting seems to be losing power and the high setting, while noisy, doesn't provide much airflow. It may work better in a smaller space, but it's not very effective in my medium-sized bedroom. On the plus side, it does help reduce the noise from the dogs next door when the window is open. Overall, it's good for providing airflow when sitting right next to it, but not very effective from a few feet away on the bed. -
Quality Essential desk fan for a hurricane in Florida
Review by Sarah / (Posted on 8/8/2020)I initially expected this fan to be a dog because it's battery operated, but it exceeded my expectations. I purchased two for potential power outages during hurricanes in Florida. I use one daily on my desk due to its slim profile, and it doesn't take up much space. It has two speeds which are great for managing hot flashes. During a recent power outage, I used 6D batteries and the fan worked just as well as when it's plugged in. It's a must-have for anyone experiencing hot weather or planning to go camping. -
Quality Awesome, Groovy
Review by David / (Posted on 8/31/2019)I purchased these fans for hurricane Irma, but they arrived late due to the hurricane causing delays. Since then, I have kept them in my emergency closet and used various makeshift cooling devices until I finally tried these out. They work really well! I used them while camping in Florida, connecting one to my Jackery 240 and running the other on batteries. The power consumption was low, with one fan only consuming 30% of my Jackery after approximately 6 hours of use. The only reason I didn't give these a 5-star rating is because they would be improved by having a pivoting base and a place to store the power cord. Overall, they are great fans and I wish I had tried them before spending money on other contraptions. They are a good option for low energy consumption during post-hurricane situations. -
Quality Non-rechargeable - Requires standard 1.5v battery:
Review by Dennis / (Posted on 6/8/2019)This fan has been a great addition to my camping gear. It's compact and functions well, although the battery compartment can be a bit tricky to use. It doesn't produce much noise, so it's not ideal for those seeking white noise. The blades are safely covered and the airflow is decent, although it decreases at a distance. I can easily adjust the fan with the slide switch on the side. Overall, it's a good tent fan that I would recommend to others. I also tested it for 38 hours on high speed and it still worked perfectly. It's definitely a reliable personal tent fan. -
Quality High-powered airflow, perfect for emergency situations
Review by Jasmine / (Posted on 7/17/2018)During a recent power outage in the middle of a Texas summer, I had to find a way to keep my elderly dog cool. After some research, I decided to try the fanfair fan. It's a good size with a 10 span and comes with an A/C adapter, but I mostly use it with batteries. It does go through batteries pretty quickly, but it lasts for at least 9 hours on high speed. The air flow is great, and it's even better than some of the larger fans I have. I was so impressed with it that I bought a second one, and they both work well with batteries or the A/C adapter. I also had a moment where I left it running on battery power for 6 hours, and it didn't fail. Now, during a power outage, my dog and I are comfortable thanks to these fans. -
Quality Essential for camping, the kitchen, and bedroom - A Must-Have for Camping
Review by Claire / (Posted on 5/28/2018)I recently went on a camping trip in 90 degree weather with 99% humidity and this fan was a game-changer. It kept our two-person tent comfortable with a nice flow of air on the low setting and provided a blast of cool air on the high setting. I ran the fan for about 6 hours a night for two nights and it lasted the whole time on the batteries. I also used it on the picnic table to keep things cool and blow away bugs. It's a great addition to any camping trip. -
Quality Hot for the Summer
Review by Cam / (Posted on 5/13/2017)I live in West Texas, where the dry heat makes my room really hot. My air conditioning isn't the greatest and the rest of the house stays cooler. This fan is perfect for my room. It has low and high speed settings. The low speed is quiet and still gives off a good amount of air. The high speed reaches all the way across my room. I keep it on my desk while I work and it still cools me off when I'm in bed. It can be plugged in or used with batteries. It's light and easy to move around. The only downside is that the high speed is a bit loud, but I've gotten used to it. The only surprise was the color on the back of the fan, which is different from the front. The cord is a bit short, but it's not a big deal with an extension cord. Overall, it's a great fan that keeps me cool all day. -
Quality Spend Plenty on Batteries
Review by Ricardo / (Posted on 4/14/2017)The 5 inch fan works well for orchid growing, but since it runs on battery power only, it's best not to use it for long periods to avoid spending a lot of money on batteries. -
Quality Great fan
Review by Carol / (Posted on 3/18/2017)The fan is great, but I'm having trouble finding a replacement power cord. I would like to find one so I can keep using it. In the meantime, it's still working with batteries. -
Quality Not as powerful as I had expected.
Review by Tami / (Posted on 2/18/2017)I wish there was more power for better air flow. -
Quality Battery Operated Feature Not Operational
Review by sunflower / (Posted on 9/1/2016)I rarely give negative reviews, but I am frustrated and disappointed with this fan. I bought it a couple of months ago in preparation for hurricane season, hoping it would provide relief during power outages. However, when I tried to use it with batteries, it didn't work. I read similar complaints from other customers and was unable to return the fan due to the time elapsed since my purchase. I ended up having to buy alternative fans and batteries at a higher cost. The fan works fine when plugged in, but it was a letdown to discover it didn't work with batteries as advertised. I wanted to share my experience to caution others who may be considering this fan for emergency use. -
Quality Good buy
Review by Terry / (Posted on 11/25/2015)This fan is convenient for travel but it doesn't provide much air flow. I enjoy using it for the white noise it makes while I sleep, but overall it's just an okay purchase. -
Quality GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS
Review by mellowraith / (Posted on 8/12/2014)I purchased two fanfair Operated Fans about five weeks ago. One fan operates quietly and with good output on both battery and AC power. However, the other fan has been frustrating. It had issues with operating on both battery and AC power, and I discovered that one of the wires at its terminal was disconnected. Even when it is working, it is extremely noisy and bothersome, making a sound like crickets chirping. While it sometimes straightens out and operates quietly for a limited time, it is hit or miss. I am disappointed with the quality control and the need for soldering. I would give the well-working fan five stars, but the faulty one maybe one star. -
Quality Extremely Silent, Unable to Use AC Adapter
Review by Jeff / (Posted on 8/11/2012)After experiencing power outages in DC and Baltimore in June 2012, I purchased two of these fans to be prepared for future events. With good NiMH D cells, I can use them for 5-6 nights per charge, while with lower quality cells, it's more like three nights. They are quiet to use and have been a great help during hot nights without AC. The fan doesn't have an AC adapter and may not be suitable for travel due to its fragile build. It can be tilted back but not forward, and I wonder if the folding mechanism will wear out over time. Overall, I find these fans to be helpful and I like having a fan in the bedroom for continuous air motion.
