This sleeve is well-constructed but it has a significant flaw - it does not have a rear grill to keep out pests, rendering it unusable. The instructions suggest installing the grill that comes with your AC unit, but most AC units do not come with a grill like that. This product should not be sold without a grill included. It's essentially useless without it. I had to return mine and I do not recommend buying it.

With three speeds and a digital thermostat, it also includes a remote and a 24-hour timer, sleep mode, and energy savings mode. While it may not win any style points, the affordable price and 1-year warranty make it a practical choice, although the poorly written instructions are a drawback.

This is our second unit installed in our rentals. They work well, and the tenants are satisfied.
