The old roof-mounted A.C. unit needs replacing, and the cost of a new one is a concern. However, this model can be installed with some modifications to the space. It's a good option for RV parks that don't allow outside window A.C. units, as it's discreet. Just note that you may need to adjust the plastic frame to fit rounded window corners.

I had the same brand of window AC before this one and it worked well for 8 years. The pros are that it cools the bedroom nicely and I haven't had any operational issues. I also found that it can actually go lower than the stated 64 degrees as I fell asleep with it on and woke up to it reading 46 degrees. However, I wish I had taken a picture to prove it. I've only had to empty the water catch twice, and even on a hot day, I only got about 20 ounces, well under the capacity. It's been a few months now and there have been no problems.

On the downside, it doesn't switch to fan mode when the desired temperature is reached, which would help lower electrical usage. The window tube was too short, so I had to get an additional one, but several tabs on the new one snapped. There's also no screen on the exhaust to keep bugs out. It's a bit heavy, but it is well-built and functions as it should. I would recommend it to anyone, but be sure to check with your HOA for window mounting requirements. If window AC is permitted, I would suggest getting the same brand with auto switch to fan mode when the temperature is achieved.

The majority of reviews mention the water light turning on as an issue, but we found that using the hose solved the problem. We had a custom piece of wood made, lined it with the provided insulation, and reinforced it with duct tape. The hose naturally drains out the window, and since purchasing it last month, we have not had to turn it off once. This is the best AC ever!

I purchased a townhouse during the summer and was surprised by how the heat remained in the stairwell, making the entire upstairs hot. Despite using fans, the hot air just circulated. I looked at different options to cool my bedroom and eventually found a freestanding AC that seemed to be the best deal for the size. I am happy with my purchase and found the venting material easy to install, although it did require an extra set of hands. The tubing was a bit smashed, making it difficult to stay on the included vent pieces, but I was still able to make it work. Overall, the AC made a huge difference during the hot Houston summer.

I've been using this portable AC all summer in my 32 ft RV. The original AC that came with the RV uses a lot of energy, so I only use it when it gets really hot. I haven't had to empty any water from this AC, but it would be simple to do so. I haven't used the dehumidifier feature, as I have a separate compact dehumidifier for very humid days. I used to use a window AC, but this portable one is the perfect size.

After lasting only 60 days, my product died. When I sought help online, I was directed to a non-English speaking representative for the dealer in a foreign country. The language barrier made it difficult to even communicate an email address. I considered returning the product but couldn't due to the language barrier. I was left with the options of throwing it away or getting it repaired commercially, so I chose the latter. It turned out that the problem was just a faulty power cord circuit breaker, which cost me an additional $100 to repair. I urge others not to deal with this company or any that have a similar customer service model.

The item is functional, but not very quiet. The power control is limited, with only low and high settings. Even on low, it is not as quiet as a Dyson air multiplier. The temperature control is not consistent, depending on the placement of the AC and airflow in the room. However, the thermostat works well. It is not recommended to run this in a small room while on a call, meeting, or streaming, as the noise can be distracting. Using noise removal on the app or phone can help reduce the noise, but it doesn't always work. It is suggested to replace the foam insulation occasionally, depending on the weather conditions.

This air conditioner is easy to install, quiet, and the remote works perfectly. I find this item to be really convenient. The follow me function on the remote is a great feature because it adjusts the temperature based on where the remote is located, ensuring that the entire room is cooled evenly. My only issue is that I have to drain both the top and lower tanks about once a week, even when using the AC mode. The humidity has been between 44% and 55% lately.

Tried using this in a closet to help cool my central unit, but it ended up causing the central unit to run more due to the heat. I believe it would work better in a room where the heat from the exhaust tube can dissipate more. This item is absolutely perfect. It works flawlessly right out of the box and it gets incredibly cold. I have one in every bedroom, and the largest one in my master bedroom, which is 20x30, blows cold air. I even sleep in a goose down comforter because I love how cold it keeps the room. Plus, on AC mode, you don't have to worry about draining it like you do on fan mode because it condenses the air/water for you. It even cools off my living room, dining room, and half of the kitchen. It's essentially a perfect ice box.

I have three of these units to help cool my house on humid days when my evaporative cooler isn't working well. They do a great job of cooling the house and look nice. They are also compact and can be easily stored in a closet when not in use. However, they are quite heavy so you may need help moving them. They are also a bit loud, but not overly so. The remote controls are convenient, though they can be a bit finicky at times. Overall, they are worth the purchase price and I would recommend them if you're looking for a budget-friendly option that gets the job done.

This air conditioner is amazing for renters! I didn't have to take the screen out of my window to install it. It didn't come with enough foam to seal the window properly, but I bought some at Walmart for $2 and it worked well. It cools the room nicely and I haven't had to change the water tank in almost a month of owning it. We purchased this unit to help keep our bedroom cool when we close the door to keep our cats out. It can be a bit noisy when it first turns on, but then it provides a white noise that we actually like. It sometimes makes a quiet knocking sound. The portable air conditioner unit comes with panels that need to be cut to fit window openings less than 31"��. When using panels 1 and 2 together, I still need to cut one of the panels to fit a 25"�� opening. However, this would block the exhaust hose opening. Customer service was helpful and is shipping a replacement panel, so I can use the unit in my other windows. The unit works well and is quiet, but some features on the remote don't work for the smaller model. Overall, it's a decent portable unit for windows larger than 31"��.

The apartment/condo we stayed in had an older design with a small window that only opened at the top, so the hose for the AC unit was very short. We had to improvise by using a dining chair so we didn't have to buy a longer hose. The AC unit is quite loud, but it actually helps me fall asleep. We have had good experiences with Impecca portable ACs in the past, with two units still working great after over four years and one breaking prematurely. We had high hopes for the newer 9kBTU model, but unfortunately, the compressor is very noisy, making it difficult to sleep with the cooling mode on. Other reviewers have also complained about the noise level. Additionally, the window panels did not work well for our tall horizontal sliding windows, so we had to create a custom panel setup using foam insulation and masking tape to seal around the window frame. Despite the ugly appearance, our blackout curtains and drapes hide the installation, and we take down the AC during cold and rainy seasons.

I bought this portable air conditioner for my ground floor apartment a week ago and so far it's been great. I just realized that I have to connect the drain hose, whether I use the dehumidifier or not, and it's a bit loud but not enough to disturb sleep. The installation was quick and easy, and it came with several window guides, a remote, drain hose, and insulation foam. I would have given it 5 stars if it was quieter, but for the price and cool name, it's unbeatable.

I set it up two days ago and it's been working well so far. I want to let people know that this unit is heavy and the hose is large. I did have some trouble with the hose coming off easily, but I fixed it with duct tape. I wish I had done more research because I didn't want a unit that needed to be drained, but it's here now and I'm getting cooled off, so I'm okay with it. I really like the swing feature. One thing to note is that the dry mode seems cooler than the cool mode.

The installation process was simple, but I'm giving it a 3-star rating because the product is noisier than the specified 52DB. At low fan speed and cool mode, the noise level is around 59DB, which is higher than expected. Additionally, there is an annoying ticking sound when the compressor runs. If that sound is absent, the noise is bearable, but still not within the specified range.

I compared prices at a few big box home improvement stores and a large retail store, and found that the similar model for cooling 250 square feet was on average $70 more at the stores. This air conditioner also functions as a dehumidifier, but you'll need to keep an eye on the drain hose and use a bucket to catch the water. I have to empty the bucket every two hours or so, but it works well in my room with old, cheap windows. It starts cooling immediately and works wonderfully.
