I have only positive things to say about this device. I recommend using the hot air vent hose out the window and having a continuous water tube at the bottom, positioned lower than the unit for gravity to expel the water. I had to buy a longer tube from the hardware store. I have mine running off my balcony and it has made a significant difference in the temperature of my small apartment.

This has been the best purchase I've made in years. I use it every day. My bottom floor has high ceilings and is about 1100 sq.ft. I pair it with a fan and even in over 90-degree weather, it keeps the inside temperature at a comfortable 75 degrees. It effectively cools off the room and operates quietly. It also circulates air well. The dehumidifier function is incredible - you don't realize how much humidity there is until you use this product. Trust me, it's amazing.

I have owned this unit for 2 years now. Initially, I found that it didn't cool very effectively when I used it without the drip pan attached. Living in Oklahoma where summers are extremely hot and humid, with temperatures ranging from 80 to 100 degrees, this was a problem. However, once I attached the water drip hose, the unit started expelling very cold air. I have the unit in an oversized room upstairs, situated over a hot, enclosed garage. In the late afternoons, when the garage heats up, the unit struggles to keep the room cool. But for the rest of the day and night, it works effectively. To solve the issue during the late afternoons, I use a small portable fan that also dispenses ice water. This has helped me to stay cool during those few really hot hours from 5pm to 8pm.

I purchased the 10,000 btu air conditioner for my large master bedroom and it works wonders. While it does make some noise, I actually find it to be soothing as I am used to sleeping with large fans. The installation was quick and easy, and I do make sure to place a bucket underneath as it fills up nightly. Overall, I am very happy with this unit.

This unit keeps my 2-bedroom apartment cool with the assistance of a fan and was simple to install. The only downside is that I expected it to be easier to move to different windows since it's portable. However, if the window is a different size, you may need to purchase an additional piece to fit the window, if it's even available.

This air conditioning unit is great for our 250 sqft room on the 3rd floor of our old townhouse. It cools the room by 20 degrees in just a few hours, which is impressive considering the hot and humid climate of Northern VA. We had to modify the drain hose, but it still works well and has a backup drainage option. It also has wheels, making it easy to move around. It's one of the few units that can be used in a horizontal sliding window, which was a major plus for us. It's definitely worth the investment for a cool and dehumidified guest room. Plus, it's only $20 more for 25% more capacity than the 9,500 BTU model.

We are generally satisfied with our purchase. The first unit stopped working after a night, but we believe it was just bad luck. The customer service was very responsive and sent us a replacement right away. The unit effectively cools our 10x15 bedroom. Our only complaints are the loud beeping sound when using the remote or buttons, and the very bright light on top. We covered the display to resolve the light issue, but we have not been able to fix the sound problem. However, overall, we are happy with this great value purchase (bought for $280) and are glad we made the decision to buy it.

The initial unit I received was a complete disappointment. It only operated for about 12-15 hours, and while the cooling was adequate, the noise level was unbearable. It developed a loud whistling sound that was even more disruptive than the standard operating noise. Even after turning it off, the whistling persisted for nearly an hour and could be heard from two rooms away. Eventually, the compressor ceased to function, leaving me with a $300 fan that wasn't even effective. I advise against wasting your time and money on this product.

The great little cooler comes highly recommended if you need to escape from the heat. Just be sure to connect the clear hose tubing and use a bucket to catch the condensation when the machine is not in dehumidifier mode.

I recently installed this portable AC and it has exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install with just the exhaust tube, and it has been a game changer for me compared to the nightmare of my old window unit.
