The Impecca 12,000 btu window unit is performing remarkably well in extreme temperatures, despite being used for a larger area than it is designed for. It is not as quiet as the small Haier in the bedroom, but it is effectively cooling the entire house, including rooms with cathedral ceilings, while I wait for my central unit to be replaced after a fire at my electric company's substation. It is saving my woodwork and wallpaper from damage.

I'm happy with this air conditioner. It's much quieter than the smaller one we had before. I would purchase it again as long as we don't encounter any problems in the near future.
