Room Conditions
To maximize your unit's cooling efficiency, Calculate the required BTU according to the conditions of the room in which it will be placed.

For rooms with a lot of sunlight, choose a unit with at least 10% more BTUs than what is required by the size of the room.
For kitchens, select a unit with 4,000more BTUs than what is required by the size of the room.
If the room will contain more than 2 people on a regular basis, add an additional 600 BTUs per person.

Atrocious controls ahead

The unit itself functions well, but I find the remote difficult to use. I have to get up and put on my glasses to read the words on it, and it's not intuitive at all. Also, my previous unit had a temperature display that was always on, but with this one, I have to keep fiddling with the controls to show it and it doesn't stay displayed.

This product was a lifesaver for me during the scorching 110 degree heat in Arizona. My RV's air conditioning couldn't keep up, so I purchased this and it made a world of difference. I placed it near my bed and it worked amazingly. Even on the slightly cooler days at 90 degrees, it was able to keep my entire RV comfortable.

This item is great for a Texas garage. It effectively cools the space and allows for programming of desired temperatures. It only operates as needed, which is a plus. I am very happy with this product.

I didn't get this until the end of summer, but even then it's still been in the high 90s here in Texas, and this AC keeps my room nice and cold! I have it at the lowest setting, which is 60 degrees, and my electric bill has stayed the same as when I had my old AC at 62 degrees. It's a little noisy at times, but it switches up so it's not too bothersome. Overall, a good AC and not too expensive!
