I can already feel a big difference in the temperature of my room, and I used to be able to physically feel the temperature difference between my room and the living room. I slept much more comfortably yesterday. It's a bit louder than I expected, but it didn't bother me and I actually don't mind a little background noise. This wall unit is a great deal and was easy to install. It comes with everything you need, even weather stripping. It's quiet, works well, and cools off our bedroom quickly. We're looking forward to staying cool during the hottest part of the Summer. Plus, it looks nice! I highly recommend it. Just a note: we chose the 6000 BTU model for its Energy Star rating, as opposed to the 5000 BTU model.

The window unit effectively cools our room without any issues. However, the noise it produces, which sounds like sleet falling on the unit, is a minor inconvenience. I am surprised that this noise wasn't addressed during the build process, but overall, the unit is fine.
