This air conditioning unit is great for our 250 sqft room on the 3rd floor of our old townhouse. It cools the room by 20 degrees in just a few hours, which is impressive considering the hot and humid climate of Northern VA. We had to modify the drain hose, but it still works well and has a backup drainage option. It also has wheels, making it easy to move around. It's one of the few units that can be used in a horizontal sliding window, which was a major plus for us. It's definitely worth the investment for a cool and dehumidified guest room. Plus, it's only $20 more for 25% more capacity than the 9,500 BTU model.
