This lens provides excellent clarity, even on a full frame camera, and offers exceptional sharpness. It's a great accessory lens that performs as advertised and is a great budget alternative for macro photography, although it's not a true substitute for a dedicated macro lens. A+++.

Attaching this to my camera was very easy. Macro photography can be challenging, but with practice, I was able to focus well. The image came out great with no vignetting.

Consider using the DCR-250 for extra magnification with this Lens.

I purchased this to help me get closer with my 18-55mm zoom lens, but I found that it still doesn't focus close enough for real macro work. I think the DCR-250 would be a better option for budget macro photography. I have to set the zoom to 55mm to really get close.

The product arrived in new condition and was delivered as stated. I haven't had much opportunity to use it yet because it's too early for insects to be out in my area, but the images it delivers are very clear. I believe it will be a valuable asset to my photography.

I decided to purchase the 150 instead of the 250 after reading that the 250 was difficult to focus. I'm happy with my choice because the 150 focuses easily and allows for close-up shots. It works best with my Canon SX40hs at full or near full zoom. I wouldn't recommend it for a DSLR unless you have a zoom lens to use with it. I use it with my Tamron 70-300 @ 300 macro and the close-up shots are amazing. The image quality is excellent and I would recommend this lens to anyone interested in taking good macro shots.

This affordable option for exploring macro photography has been a valuable tool for me. The image results are impressive, but ultimately it showed me that my preference is for close focus rather than true macro. I mainly take photos outdoors, and I've found that true macro requires getting extremely close to the subject, which isn't always possible with creatures or in windy conditions. While I now have a greater appreciation for those who excel at true macro photography, I realize it's not for me. The 150 lens is a great choice for beginners.
