5 Major Advantages and 3 Minor Drawbacks of this microwave
Review by WanderX / (Posted on 11/30/2021)
This microwave has been a game-changer for me after using it for several months to replace my old button-based model. Here are the pros and cons I've experienced:

    Pros:
    1) Setting the temperature and time is quick and easy with just a few turns of a dial, compared to the tedious and frustrating multiple button presses required with my old microwave.
    2) I love that I can adjust the power level without having to stop the microwave, especially for longer, lower cooking times when making rice, quinoa, polenta, or potatoes for mashing.
    3) The pleasant single ding when the microwave is done is a much nicer and less intrusive alert compared to my old microwave's loud, persistent beeps.
    4) The microwave doesn't slide on the counter, avoiding any safety concerns, and the door opens and closes easily without causing any movement of the unit.
    5) I appreciate that the microwave doesn't light up when the door is open, allowing me to air it out after steaming food and preventing any humidity and odors from building up inside. Additionally, it fits perfectly with my Breville countertop toaster oven, saving space on my counter.

    Cons:
    1) It can be difficult to set the time for under 1 minute accurately due to the sensitivity of the time dial, and it would be helpful to have tactile feedback for the minute and power level settings, especially for those with visual impairments.
    2) This microwave does not have a digital display, so it cannot be used as a clock or timer, which may be a drawback for some users.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this 2-dial microwave and prefer it over any button-based models I've previously owned. I highly recommend it as an efficient and user-friendly appliance.

    Embrace the vintage!

My husband teases me for liking old lady stuff, but I appreciate the quality of older products. I particularly enjoy the dials on this microwave, as they are much more convenient than constantly pressing buttons. The size of the microwave is perfect, and the price is reasonable compared to other options. I also love that it only makes one noise when it's done, unlike newer models. Overall, I am very satisfied with this microwave.
