This Impecca Microwave is an improvement over the full-size Magic Chef it replaced, and it doesn't block my new backsplash. It consistently makes perfect microwave popcorn, which the Magic Chef did not. If you're unsure, go for it.

The door has a 1/2 indent and a 1 slope in the bottom rear, so a large Fiesta plate with a 10 1/2 diameter and 1H fits perfectly. However, a flatter plate may not clear the bottom slope and door indent to give the full 11 1/2D. The exterior dimensions are 17W x 10H x 11 1/2D, with a rear bump out that makes the depth 13D. The microwave sits fine on a 13 1/2 deep shelf, with the front feet set back about 3. The digital control has minute and 30-second buttons, with adjustable power and a sound on/off button, which is a great feature. Aesthetically, it has a clean and solid black glass and stainless steel front, but the door closes noisily. I hope these details save someone time when looking for a microwave.
