We reside in an older apartment near the beach and have had a persistent mold issue during the winter months. It has been incredibly troublesome, spreading across the walls, ceilings, and even onto our belongings. The mold has even affected our respiratory health. Fed up, we decided to purchase a dehumidifier. Our bedroom, which is 300sq feet, had a humidity level of almost 80% at night. After running the dehumidifier for a day, the humidity dropped to 50%. The main downside is the noise, making it difficult to sleep, but the musty smell and dampness have disappeared.

The drainage hole at the back seems unnecessary since the model I received does not have a pump function. Is there any way to still use the drainage pump?

This dehumidifier effectively removes moisture from the air in our bathroom. We ran it 24 hours a day for the first few days and then reduced it to a few hours a day, and it continued to keep the humidity level low. It also helps to keep our linen closet dry. Although it is fairly loud, it works well and we would buy another one from the same company.

This dehumidifier effectively reduces humidity in my sunroom, but it does not offer specific humidity control. On turbo, it fills the reservoir in 8 hours, but it lacks the option to set a desired humidity level. The only options are continuous operation or a comfort setting that cycles on and off too quickly around 50%. It would be more convenient to have a range of humidity settings (e.g. turn on at 48% and off at 55%).
