The instructions for this A/C unit were terrible. It took me a lot longer to install compared to my previous unit because I had to keep referring back to the instructions. I even watched an assembly video on YouTube, but it didn't help much. I used to trust GE for quality products, but this A/C unit was a disappointment. It was also much more expensive than other similar units, and the quality of the frame is poor, with cheap plastic used extensively. I won't be buying from GE again.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of this item. It effectively cools down my bedroom in a short amount of time. Although there is some noise from the fan, I consider it to be normal. I find that I am unable to use the economy setting at night because the unit's on and off cycling wakes me up. Despite this, I am overall very happy with it.

This small AC unit is fantastic. It's perfect for my art studio. I often use the timer to turn it off after 1 or 2 hours, but sometimes I have to cut it short because it gets too cold for painting. Even my dog enjoys it during the summer. Using this unit has saved me almost $25 on my electric bill compared to the previous one. It lasted almost 4 years before it died.

This air conditioner is extremely easy to install and very lightweight. It provides a powerful blast of cool air at your preferred setting, whether it's low, medium, or high. At night, it makes just enough noise to help you fall asleep and the numbers and letters on the display turn off, which I really like. The remote makes it very easy to use, and I believe that GE makes the best air conditioners. This is the best air conditioner I've ever bought, and I got it for a great price. The air conditioning unit cools well and is not very noisy. However, the remote control is not very detailed, and the display on the unit is difficult to see. It always switches back to fan mode when turned on. On the plus side, the remote allows you to easily change settings from across the room. But the small display and indicator lights make it difficult to see the current settings without walking over to the unit. The mode indicator lights are also not in a logical order. Overall, the remote is not very useful unless you memorize the display.

This unit was bought as a backup when my apartment's AC stopped working. It only took me an hour to install by myself, but it might take two people in most cases. The air conditioner arrived early and in perfect condition. The installation was easy, with clear instructions that only took about 25 minutes. The controls on both the unit and the remote are easy to understand. However, installing the app for smart features was a bit more complicated. Once installed, it was simple to pair with Alexa, which was quick and responsive to voice commands. However, the phone controls over the Internet were disappointing, either not working or having significant lag time. I was initially disappointed that this AC is designed for flat windowsills and not for windows with insulation pieces sticking up. However, I was able to install it without using screws and brackets. I was also surprised that the lowest temperature setting is 64 degrees, as I'm used to AC units going down to 60. However, I found that the AC still cools the room quickly and effectively. The Smart HQ app for remote use works well after a short setup period. Overall, I believe that this AC is definitely worth buying.

We are pleasantly surprised by how pleased we are with this small air conditioner. It comes with paneling to hide the typical unsightly accordion panels, so you hardly even notice it in a low-level window (assuming your walls are white). It blends in nicely. As for the power, we live in a temperate climate (Santa Monica) where we didn't really need AC until recently due to rising temperatures. We only needed something for about 20 days a year, so we opted for a cheaper AC. It works perfectly for our 900 sq foot apartment, especially since we close the doors to the bedrooms and office during the day and open them at night to push the air into the bedrooms. It may not be enough for the whole space, but it keeps us cool enough to not be sweating. Overall, we are very happy and would recommend it for smaller apartments.

I am really satisfied with this air conditioner. It was a bit challenging to install because the instructions didn't specify which sides the connecting piece should be on. I had to install it multiple times to figure out the right positioning. The plastic curtains could have been labeled better and the instructions could have indicated where they should go. Once installed, it works great and creates a perfect seal. Using the foam tape provided and sealing the windows beforehand is essential for a proper seal. The instructions say to tilt the air conditioner, but when properly fit in the window, it doesn't need to be tilted. There are drains at the base that work well even when the unit is level. So, if you can't tilt it, there's no need to worry about water drainage.

Absolutely love this AC! My small room would reach unbearable temperatures of 101 degrees with no AC in the house, while outside was a scorching 110 degrees. This 8,000 btu unit cooled it down perfectly. The noise level is manageable, and the installation was a breeze. Just make sure to write down the wifi password before installing the wifi version, as it's necessary for connecting to your phone. I didn't do this and now I have to take the AC down to connect. My boyfriend and I improvised a solution by using a wood frame and plywood to seal it off in our sliding window. It's a bit pricey at $249, but I can see the value given the demand. Lesson learned: buy summer items in the winter for better deals.
