After forgetting to purchase a unit for our 600 square foot kitchen, we ended up purchasing a 15,000 BTU LG unit for our 800 square foot bedroom. After a year, the kitchen unit is working wonderfully on low and keeping the space cool. However, the LG unit for the bedroom is not effective enough and is quite loud. I am excited to purchase another one of the small, quiet, and powerful units for our bedroom as it has been working great for a year.

This thermostat works well for my small shed, but it may not be suitable for those who want to set a specific temperature and have the device maintain it. The preset cool level can be chosen, but the actual temperature is not displayed. Even when the set temperature is reached, the fan continues to run and the device never turns off. Despite these drawbacks, it doesn't bother me personally.

I purchased this unit for my small bedroom despite having central AC because I tend to get hot while sleeping. It does an amazing job of cooling, but I wasn't aware that newer models do not have a drain hole or plug. This causes water and condensation to build up and create a loud, distracting noise. I have found a temporary solution by running the unit fan on high to evaporate the water, but I live in a humid climate so I expect the issue to return. I would recommend getting a unit that drains if you live in a similar environment. I also anticipate needing to clean the unit at some point, but I'm not sure how to access and clean the styrofoam inside. I would give it 3 1/2 stars instead of 4.

I experienced a scare with my central unit during the summer peak, but luckily it was just a blown fuse in the air handler. I decided to purchase two units, a 10K BTU and a 5K BTU, and had very different experiences with each.

The 10K unit exceeded my expectations, although it can get a bit loud when it's on max cool due to the amount of air it blows. However, the 5K unit was a disappointment at first. It couldn't adequately cool my bedroom and would often short cycle, struggling to restart the compressor.

After investigating, I found that the thermostat sensor wire was in contact with the evaporator coil. Once I carefully adjusted the wire, the unit no longer short cycled and was able to cool the room effectively. The gurgling noise it makes when the compressor kicks in is a bit bothersome, but at this price point, I wasn't expecting whisper quiet operation.

Overall, I was initially disappointed with the 5K unit, but after resolving the minor factory issue, it turned out to be a decent purchase. The 10K unit, on the other hand, has been performing excellently without any issues. For the price, I am satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased this manual model based on the recommendations for size, cooling capacity, and noise level. It met the specific requirements for A/C models in our apartments perfectly. The unit arrived in perfect condition and was well-packed. It does an excellent job of cooling a 152sf room with a Southern exposure in the Pacific Northwest. Even when installed in a South facing location, it runs smoothly and is quieter than our window fan. It comes with louvers for the sides, but I chose not to use them and instead used extricated acrylic, which was easy to install. It came with insulator foam and a screen to keep the cold air inside, and it's small and easy to move to another room if needed. I didn't realize this at first and had some water drip onto the floor. I might follow another reviewer's suggestion and carefully drill holes at the back of the unit to prevent this issue. This AC unit was meant for a small 9x14 bedroom, replacing a previous GE unit. However, I had issues with the Impecca unit from the start. The manual was not clear, and setting it as I did with the GE unit only provided cool air when I was right next to it. Even at a temperature of 5 and low cool setting, the air did not reach my bed, which was only 11-12 feet away. I had to set it on high cool at all times to get any air flow, which is unacceptable and makes me worry about its longevity. If it struggles now, I can't imagine how it will perform in hotter temperatures. I have had success with Impecca units in the past, so I'm not sure why this one is different. I have been using the Impecca air conditioner for a few weeks and so far I think it is a good product at a great price. It is smaller and lighter than my previous air conditioner but still very powerful. The 5000 BTUs is enough to cool my small bedroom and the High Cool 7 setting can make my room extremely cold in just an hour.

A helpful tip for keeping the room cool at night is to run the AC for 1-2 hours on the High Cool setting before the temperature drops below 60 degrees, then shut it off for the night. Adding insulation foam to the windows and doors can also help keep the room cool for longer periods.

I learned not to run the window AC when the temperature outside is below 60 degrees because it can freeze up the unit. This may have been why my previous air conditioner kept shutting off on cold nights. The Impecca air conditioner was easy to install right out of the box, and I only needed a Philips screwdriver. According to the installation manual, the 5/16 pitch is built into the design of the unit and there is no need to worry about it. Also, when installing the side panels, make sure to lay the unit on its back with the buttons face up to slide each panel through the 4 holes on each side.

I almost didn't buy this air conditioner due to the negative reviews, but now I realize that people tend to give too much weight to negative product reviews. Most electronics are tested before sale and rarely fail right out of the box. It's worth noting that most people only leave reviews if something is wrong with the product, which skews the reviews in a negative way.

My only complaints about this air conditioner are that it does not have a built-in timer (which could have raised the price) and the knob for turning the unit on and off could eventually break off. This air conditioning unit was a lifesaver after our apartment's AC system broke down. Living in Texas, it's unbearable to have no AC with temperatures over 95 degrees every day and high humidity. The delivery was timely and the packaging was nice. The maintenance staff installed it, so it must be easy to do. It doesn't come with a remote, but other than that, it's great. You can use just the fan or the cold air, and it's easy to choose the setting. The 5000 BTU unit is perfect for my daughter's room and it gets really cold. If the door is open, the cold air filters throughout the apartment. The outside needs to be wiped down occasionally, and the side filter needs to be removed and rinsed off. The noise level isn't bad and is actually preferred, as my daughter used to sleep with a fan for noise. It's a great price, and I would buy it again if needed.

After receiving the air conditioning unit, it was not blowing cold air and did not cool the room, despite trying all recommended troubleshooting steps. It may have been broken in transit, as there was no visible damage. I contacted Impecca and Amazon, and they worked together to resolve the issue. Impecca support had me try a few more things and eventually agreed to send a replacement unit at no cost. I did not have to return the broken one, but had to sign an agreement not to resell it. The second unit I received works perfectly and is easy to install and use. Our only issue was getting rid of the packaging material. Overall, both Amazon and Impecca stood by the product and provided a satisfactory resolution.

I bought this item as a replacement for my dead Sunbeam AC, and so far, I'm satisfied with it. I've been using it in reverse for heat, and it's been blowing out 100F heat at 72F inside and 40F outside, with an Arduino controlling the compressor/air defrost. The soft start capacitor is great as it eliminates the loud clunk when the compressor kicks in, unlike my old unit. It's also slightly quieter, measuring at 82 dB a few inches away. I'm hopeful that I can run it on a 1500w (peak) inverter.

However, I've noticed that the exterior casing is a lot flimsier than my old unit, making it easy to accidentally twist and bend. The paint is also easy to scratch, so I need to be careful, especially where condensation collects. On the plus side, the knobs seem sturdier than my previous unit.

Overall, for the price, I'm pretty happy with this purchase, as long as it holds up.

You need to close the window on the machine, cover the opening with plexiglass, and stuff foam into any gaps. This setup tilts the machine at the specified angle to drip water out the window. When it's cold, just tilt the unit inward, remove the steel rod, wash the unit, and store it when dry. It's great for keeping rabbits comfortable in the garage during the heat of summer. However, it could be improved with a thermostat and a reversible air flow feature for the fan. Currently, the fan only blows inward and runs until turned off.

I am using this air conditioner in a 118 square foot bedroom and have been testing it during a heat wave with outside temperatures reaching 100F. I found that when I set the AC to low cool for an hour, it was able to bring the room temperature down to 86F, but it took a couple more hours to lower it further. I also noticed that the outside temperature was decreasing as it got closer to sunset. The power usage of the AC is 462.7W or .463KW. To calculate the cost of usage, multiply the power usage by the number of hours the AC is on and the rate of your electricity. Our rate is $.10 per KWH. I also tested the temperature dial and found that setting it to 6 stops the cooling at 76F. When on low fan mode, the AC consumes 45W, similar to a typical electric fan. I used a topgreener wifi outlet to measure usage and control the AC, a Thermpro to measure room temperature, and my car's temperature indicator for outside temperature. Overall, the AC gets the job done at a cost-efficient price and is easy to install. However, it does not come with a remote and can be a bit noisy.

The installation will depend on the type and size of your window, but I was able to replace my old unit fairly easily. Just make sure to use some waterproofing sealer or caulk for the best results. It does make some noise, but if you use it at a lower speed or just as a fan, the volume lessens. Overall, I highly recommend this unit for the best possible price for a nice, cool room or home office.

I grew up using window units, but as a homeowner, I now have central air. Currently, we are experiencing problems with our central air system and I needed a temporary solution for cooling my 150 sq ft room. After researching and considering the price and reviews, I chose a 5000 btu unit with 68% five-star reviews. I installed it myself and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it cooled the room and lowered the humidity. Although I'm not sure if the thermostat is working properly, the unit is not noisy and has been running smoothly for four hours. I will continue to monitor its performance and update my review, but so far, I am satisfied with its cooling abilities.

This air conditioner is the most affordable option available, but it has some major drawbacks. The window fitment is poor, leading to large gaps and allowing insects and sound to enter the room. The temperature regulation is also inconsistent, causing the room to fluctuate from too cold to too warm. Additionally, the unit emits a loud noise and requires frequent attention. Overall, I would not recommend this unless you are on a tight budget or are not sensitive to temperature swings and noise.
