Quality Effective at reducing moisture in our small Florida home after just one month
Review by Nina L. / (Posted on 3/29/2024)This unit appears to be functioning well at the moment. However, it is important to empty the water bin before it becomes too full, as it can be difficult to remove and carry without spilling water. We have not had it for long, so we cannot yet determine its long-term reliability and whether it is a worthwhile investment. -
Quality Stalls out, but gets the job done
Review by BookWormie / (Posted on 3/28/2024)I have to regularly turn off this unit to let the ice buildup melt, but it does a good job of extracting water from the air. -
Quality Truly effective
Review by HurleyDonna / (Posted on 3/24/2024)This dehumidifier is great because it's a reliable humidifier and also looks good. -
Quality Operated smoothly for 2 seasons
Review by Mercury / (Posted on 3/24/2024)It performed well for 2 seasons in a basement in the Midwest, but then began to accumulate ice. If purchasing with an extended warranty, it should be okay, but otherwise may not be the best cost-effective choice. -
Quality Highly adaptable with pump
Review by SpicySuns / (Posted on 3/23/2024)The setup is simple and it's easy to empty the tank or attach a drain hose. I'm amazed at how much moisture this is pulling from my house. -
Quality Running smoothly without any issues!
Review by Michael / (Posted on 3/22/2024)This unit has been running almost constantly for months and I haven't noticed any issues. It should work great for typical home use. -
Quality Effective humidifier for a large area.
Review by EricCoolGuy / (Posted on 3/19/2024)I decided to replace my old dehumidifier, which started leaking, with the Great Dehumidifier. The old one had a large capacity collection bucket, and I tried to find a similar one without much success. However, the Impecca has the perfect size collection bucket and the machine is just the right size. It has 3 speeds and a humidity level set, which is fantastic. It's also very quiet and effectively removes moisture. -
Quality Frustrated by its short lifespan.
Review by KristaG16 / (Posted on 3/9/2024)This item of coils froze up in less than 2 years, causing them to stop draining. I'm disappointed that I spent nearly $300 on a product that didn't last. Save your money and opt for a cheaper option with a similar lifespan. -
Quality Large capacity dehumidifier
Review by NeonGamer / (Posted on 3/4/2024)The dehumidifier came in a damaged box, but it was undamaged inside. After plugging it in, it's working well in the basement. It's a great deal for a 50 pint dehumidifier. -
Quality Satisfied with the built-in pump.
Review by Jbizzle / (Posted on 2/9/2024)This unit is great because it operates quietly and has a convenient built-in pump. No need to worry about emptying the water bucket. I haven't noticed a significant increase in my electric bill. -
Quality The ultimate item
Review by SteeleMatthew / (Posted on 2/8/2024)I bought the first one, which ran every half hour and lasted about 9 years. Despite less than ideal basement conditions and using a hose for continuous drainage without cleaning or maintaining the unit, it still performed well. -
Quality Efficiency
Review by EdwardCode / (Posted on 2/7/2024)Comfort is highly valued in this item. -
Quality functions well
Review by Roberto Maverick / (Posted on 1/27/2024)The basement stays dry with this product. -
Quality Great Deal
Review by Jeffreylang / (Posted on 1/23/2024)This product has a large capacity, but it is a bit noisy. -
Quality Great for a spacious basement.
Review by JupiterMist / (Posted on 1/6/2024)This dehumidifier is powerful and can hold a large amount of water. It effectively keeps my basement dry in a short amount of time, especially during rainy weather. -
Quality ecstatic
Review by RitchiePaul / (Posted on 12/27/2023)This product works well even in high noise environments, and I saw results within 24 hours of using it in my basement. -
Quality Perform the task
Review by HighlandDonna / (Posted on 12/22/2023)After running continuously, the dehumidifier filled its bucket with water within 36 hours. The automatic shut off feature prevents overflow, so it's hard to say exactly how long it took to remove moisture from the basement. We checked on the third day and found it turned off because the bucket was full. Overall, it works well. -
Quality High-quality dehumidifier
Review by CosmicMelon / (Posted on 12/10/2023)This dehumidifier is perfect for my humid basement. I love the automatic drain feature - I just run the hose into my sump pump and forget it's even there. It's so convenient to set the desired humidity and let the dehumidifier do the rest. It has really helped eliminate the musty smell in my basement. -
Quality Smooth appearance and low noise level.
Review by FredrickOcean / (Posted on 12/9/2023)I am extremely satisfied with how well the dehumidifier operates. The drain hose is durable and the perfect length. In addition, the condensate pump is significantly quieter than those on other units I've used in the past. The fan speed options also provide control over the sound, which is a great feature. Overall, I'm really happy with the dehumidifier. -
Quality Impecca is indifferent.
Review by ValiantProdigy / (Posted on 12/8/2023)I purchased this pump 16 months ago, and it stopped working. Unfortunately, the warranty had expired, so I couldn't get a replacement. I was disappointed and hoped for a coupon towards a new purchase, but didn't receive one. My previous pump from a different brand lasted 5 years, so I was disappointed with the durability of this product. I don't think I will buy from Impecca again, as the product didn't last long and the company didn't offer any support. -
Quality Heats up like an oven
Review by Zephyr / (Posted on 11/20/2023)This dehumidifier works well in removing moisture from the room, however, it does increase the room temperature by 5-10 degrees. It has randomly stopped a few times but restarted on its own. I've been using it for a month and it's been okay. I only use it at night or when drying clothes, but the heat it gives off can shrink sensitive fabrics. I bought it on sale during Amazon Prime Day and it has been worth it so far. -
Quality Assess operability of unit by trying EC Code in warmer room.
Review by DARRENmoskowitz27 / (Posted on 11/18/2023)Originally, the unit had frozen condenser coils and later started displaying an EC error code, prompting it to turn off. Despite trying to unplug and re-plug the unit multiple times, the issue persisted. After relocating the unit to a warmer living room environment, it became evident that the unit still functions properly but is sensitive to temperature. It will only run in the basement when the temperature is around 70 degrees. This experiment with changing the environment has revealed important information about the unit's functionality. I hope this insight will be helpful to others. -
Quality Top-rated, must-have.
Review by Maximus / (Posted on 11/14/2023)After my unit from another manufacturer failed, I did some research and found this particular unit consistently mentioned in reviews from multiple testing companies. While it may not have all the flashy features that some models have, many of those features are just gimmicks to attract buyers who don't do their research. This product is exactly as tested, with solid construction and an appealing design. I placed it in my son's basement living area and he noted that it operates quietly and quickly brings down the humidity to the desired level. It's worth noting that due to changes in EPA rating, this 50 pint unit would have been classified as a 70 pint under the old rules. -
Quality Operating efficiently.
Review by LuckyAccident / (Posted on 11/9/2023)This product fills up quickly and has three fan settings, which can be adjusted for quietness or speed. It is working as expected and I hope it continues to function well for at least a year. -
Quality Great dehumidifier
Review by BCurve / (Posted on 11/4/2023)The product packaging is superior to competitors, with a more substantial box, sturdy Styrofoam top and bottom, and a nylon strap. Once unpacked, the product is attractive and easy to use. The built-in pump is a great feature, allowing for automatic draining to a convenient location of choice. The built-in bucket is well-designed, but it's best not to wait until it's full due to the weight of the water. While there are cheaper options available, spending a little more on this unit is worth it. -
Quality I am thrilled with this...
Review by HamB / (Posted on 10/31/2023)I was recommended to use a dehumidifier to help with the musty smell in our new property. I wasn't sure if it would be effective, but within a week, we noticed the smell starting to fade.
Setting up the dehumidifier was easy - I simply took it out of the box and plugged it in. I also read the instructions carefully to make sure I was using it correctly. It is quite loud, but it doesn't drown out conversation.
The functions at the top of the unit are easy to use, and the only maintenance required is an occasional reset. Overall, I found this dehumidifier to be effective and user-friendly, and I'm pleased with the results. It's satisfying to see the reservoir filling up with water, showing that it's working effectively. -
Quality Prevents basement flooding!
Review by Stella / (Posted on 10/29/2023)I am extremely satisfied with my Impecca Humidifier purchase. It is exactly what I needed and effectively removes water from my basement. I am very pleased with its performance. -
Quality Highly efficient dehumidifier
Review by MelissaM123 / (Posted on 10/19/2023)Ever since we got this dehumidifier, it has been effective at lowering the humidity in our basement right away. We are so happy with it that we plan on getting another one for our garage. The fan is quiet, it turns off when it reaches the desired humidity level, and it also has a hose drain at the back so we don't need to use the internal bucket. -
Quality Superb Impecca Dehumidifier
Review by DISA / (Posted on 9/30/2023)I am very happy with the Impecca Dehumidifier. It automatically pumps out the water when I press the Pump button and it stops when full. It's perfect for mid-size and large basements like mine, which is 400 sq. ft. -
Quality Works fantastic.
Review by InfernoSecrets / (Posted on 9/29/2023)This item works well and is a bit loud, but since it's for my basement, the noise doesn't bother me. I have a permanent tube running through the wall straight to my basement's sewage pump, and I recommend protecting the small tube that comes with it to prevent pets from chewing on it and causing a leak. If the power goes out and then comes back on, all settings will turn on automatically, which is a good design. -
Quality Highly efficient
Review by PrimeReviewer / (Posted on 9/24/2023)This product is amazing. It is effectively maintaining a comfortable level of dryness in our basement and keeping the humidity under control. It was incredibly simple to connect a regular garden hose to it for easy drainage into the sump. It has proven to be durable and the bucket is easily removable and replaceable. -
Quality Operates flawlessly! Just set it and leave it!
Review by IllusionaryJoker / (Posted on 9/21/2023)This product is very user-friendly and allows you to easily choose and set the settings. The built-in bucket collects humidity/water and when it is filled, the alarm alerts you and the unit stops collecting water while remaining powered-on. The handle is sturdy and there is no dripping during emptying. The provided hose allows the motor to power water to the basement drain. The motor is quiet and the product works nicely. Overall, I am very pleased with this great product. -
Quality Excellent Unit!
Review by HinkleyB / (Posted on 9/21/2023)I wanted a dehumidifier with a built-in pump and I'm happy I chose this one! It's pricier than one without a pump, but the convenience is totally worth it. It's been running constantly since I bought it (we had a very humid summer and it's in my basement) and I haven't had any issues. The hose they provide is long enough if you need to route it far away. It seems to be well-made, as you would expect for the price and brand. I have no regrets and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. -
Quality The norm - with a twist
Review by AstroMDG / (Posted on 9/17/2023)This is my fourth basement dehumidifier. I had two GEs, each lasting 1.5 years, and then a Toshiba, which lasted 3 years and I would recommend. However, Home Depot no longer sells it. The Fridgidaire unit does about the same job as the others, although they all can't handle a space as big as they advertise. It is easy to operate and dump the water (there is a pump, but I don't use it). The one major difference with this unit is that it seems to always be running. My other units would turn off until the humidity went back up. This one keeps going and going, possibly due to the fan de-icing the coils. So, if noise is an issue, or perhaps the cost of operation, this might not be the right choice for you. -
Quality It performs admirably!
Review by PrairieChickKS / (Posted on 9/15/2023)I purchased this dehumidifier as a replacement for my recalled one. After extensive research and reading reviews, I chose the Impecca brand. It effectively reduces moisture, operates quietly, and emits some heat, although not as much as my previous unit. It works well in our crawl space and I use it on a low setting with the hose draining directly. It's a hassle-free option. -
Quality Still functioning well after a few months, just a bit noisy.
Review by PamelaCore25 / (Posted on 9/15/2023)I've been using this unit for 5 months and it works great, just like the others I've had. However, I've noticed that this one is a bit louder and larger in size compared to the other brand, even though both are 50 pints. They both need to be emptied once a day, but the bucket in this one is bigger, so it could probably last a day and a half. -
Quality functions effectively
Review by BravoDelta12 / (Posted on 9/12/2023)I rely on this item all day, every day and it performs well. The pump feature is a standout and I appreciate it. I do wish it could be a bit quieter though. -
Quality item functions properly
Review by Billbank / (Posted on 9/11/2023)This is my third Impecca dehumidifier. Both of the first two were replaced under warranty, so I opted to buy insurance for this one. It's generally quiet, but the pump can be quite loud when it comes on. However, it does a great job at removing moisture from my living area, which is in a new house with high humidity. So far, it's been effective at bringing the humidity down to 50%. -
Quality Trusted and dependable!
Review by PnutNick / (Posted on 9/9/2023)I have two of these dehumidifiers, one in the garage and the other near my air handler closet. They do an excellent job of maintaining the humidity in our 2700sqft home in a very humid location at 50% at all times. During the wetter months, we have to empty the reservoir almost twice daily, but I can easily hook up a hose for automatic drainage. I prefer to manually empty the reservoir so I can monitor how much moisture they are removing. It can be difficult for children and those with smaller frames to empty the reservoir. -
Quality Go the extra mile... IT'S WORTH IT!!
Review by KiwiKingdom / (Posted on 9/8/2023)I initially bought a different dehumidifier to save money, but it was a mistake. It took too long to fill the tank, so I returned it and bought the Impecca. It's just as amazing as our old one, if not better, and now comes with a pump option for easy drainage. The only downside is that it doesn't have a handle in the front of the tank to lift it for manual emptying, and it's not very quiet. But overall, it's worth the money for peace of mind. I highly recommend this model. -
Quality Effective but noisier than expected
Review by Stefan / (Posted on 9/5/2023)It is impossible to run while watching TV because the volume is too loud, even on a low setting. -
Quality Has significantly reduced water levels quickly
Review by ShadowPhoenix / (Posted on 9/4/2023)This product has exceeded my expectations so far. My basement art studio was very muggy and smelly with some mold growth, but after 12 hours of using the machine, it was completely full. We've emptied it about 5 times in 4 days and the air already feels dryer and smells much better. The directions recommend running it continuously for 3 days, and now I have it set at 45%. It is a bit loud and puts out some heat, but it's worth it. I might run it while we aren't home after the initial 3-day continuous run. I'm even thinking of getting another one for the upstairs. I will update after using it for a while. -
Quality Emits superior craftsmanship and elegance
Review by ColleyS / (Posted on 9/3/2023)I am very pleased with this dehumidifier. It is well-designed and of high quality. The controls are easy to use and understand. The hide-away handle makes it convenient to move up and down stairs and the front red line indicates the water level in the reservoir. Additionally, the pump allows for easy draining to a higher location. It is ideal for use in a cellar or basement and effectively removes humidity from the air. The only downside is that it is not completely silent and it is heavy, but overall, I highly recommend it. -
Quality Significant upgrade in our residence.
Review by PurpleRaindrops / (Posted on 8/21/2023)I recently bought this dehumidifier and I have to say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. It has really made a difference in maintaining a comfortable environment in my home, especially on the upstairs level. It does give off some heat, so I only run it on the low fan speed.
One of the best features of this dehumidifier is its ability to effectively reduce humidity levels. Before using it, my upstairs level was always too humid, even with the air conditioning on. But since using this dehumidifier, the humidity has dropped from 60 to an impressive 40. It's truly been amazing.
I chose this dehumidifier for its convenience and ease of use. I haven't used the pump that comes with it, but I find it easy to empty the tank twice a day. It's a small inconvenience for the great results I've seen.
In terms of performance, this dehumidifier has been perfect. It runs quietly and doesn't consume excessive energy, which is good for the environment and my electricity bills.
I really wish I had bought this dehumidifier sooner, as it has made a big difference in the comfort and quality of air in my home. I no longer have to worry about the negative effects of excess moisture, like mold and musty odors.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this dehumidifier to anyone dealing with high humidity levels in their home. It's effective and reliable, and has really improved the air quality in my home. Don't wait to invest in this dehumidifier and experience the comfort and peace of mind it brings. -
Quality Fast dehumidification and simple operation.
Review by Bibliophile / (Posted on 8/18/2023)The dehumidifier is highly effective and user-friendly, providing significant reduction in humidity levels within an hour. However, the 50 pint unit is quite heavy and difficult to maneuver despite being equipped with castors. -
Quality Goodbye, musty basement!
Review by ToastLover / (Posted on 8/13/2023)After my old dehumidifier stopped working, I decided to read some reviews and found this one. The price was reasonable compared to store prices, and it seemed to work great. It runs quietly, although I can still hear it from the top of the cellar stairs, and it's very efficient. On particularly humid days, it can pump out up to 2 gallons of water from my cellar. I found a tip to keep a large water can in the cellar, pour the filled bucket in there, and use it to water my tomatoes! -
Quality My running temperature is slightly too high
Review by Karadagbahar / (Posted on 8/11/2023)I'm happy with my second Impecca dehumidifier. I bought my first one in 2020 and it's still working well in 2023, even though it's been discontinued. At first, I thought about returning it because it seemed to produce more heat than my older model. However, after moving it to a different location, I don't have that issue anymore. The noise level is also acceptable to me. -
Quality Dehydrates the air!
Review by BeanTownGal / (Posted on 7/31/2023)This unit was noisier than I had anticipated, even on the lowest setting, so I ended up moving it to a different room. Additionally, it blows out very warm air, so I chose to place it in a location where it wouldn't add more warmth to the room. However, it didn't seem to have much impact on my window air conditioner, and I didn't notice it running for longer periods of time.
The controls are simple and easy to use. I had to empty the bucket twice on the first day, but after that, I only had to do it once in the morning and once before bed, and it was only 3/4 full both times. Keeping the humidity level at 45% was very comfortable on hot and humid days, and I think it actually helped the air conditioner.
I live in a 3-story townhouse and placed the unit on the second floor at the top of the stairs. It didn't seem to have much of an effect on the top floor, but it did keep the humidity level very comfortable on the 1st and 2nd floors.
I would definitely recommend this product! -
Quality High-quality dehumidifier
Review by Alanator / (Posted on 7/21/2023)I've been using an old Impecca dehumidifier in my basement for years, and despite its age, it still does the job well. However, it doesn't have an auto pump function, so during the summer I have to empty the water box every day, sometimes even twice a day. Because of this inconvenience, I opted to purchase a new dehumidifier with an auto pump feature, and it works exactly as I hoped. It's incredibly convenient and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of an auto pump dehumidifier. -
Quality Livelier than anticipated
Review by Vortex44 / (Posted on 7/19/2023)The product is great overall, but I am slightly disappointed with the noise level at the low fan speed, as I expected it to be quieter. -
Quality Upgraded from an Impecca Dehumidifier after 7 years
Review by Elle / (Posted on 6/30/2023)I bought the Impecca dehumidifier to replace my previous one that I had for 7 years. This new one is slightly bigger and has a pump to keep it empty, but it only works if the drain is below the unit, not above. This means I had to buy an overpriced garden hose from Amazon and still have to manually empty it. Not happy with the functionality. -
Quality Get the job done
Review by CiscoNine / (Posted on 5/28/2023)The only issue I have is with how awkward it is to empty the dehumidifier, which leads to water splashing on the floor. -
Quality Effective at its intended purpose but with a major downside.
Review by NeoNomad / (Posted on 5/25/2023)This dehumidifier was effective at removing moisture from spaces with minimal noise. Setting it up and using it was easy and enjoyable. However, the heat it produced while operating was a downside, so it's best to keep it away from areas where you spend a lot of time. Instead, consider speaking to an HVAC professional about a permanent setup that can be integrated into your existing duct work. Alternatively, if you do choose to use the dehumidifier, keep it in the basement near the HVAC intake to condition the air being circulated in your home. Placing it in a regular living space will only heat up the area. -
Quality Perform the task
Review by PerfWonder / (Posted on 5/22/2023)I've had the Impecca 50 Pint Dehumidifier running in my basement for a couple of weeks now. I haven't used the pump or continuous drain features. The bucket filled quickly for the first few days on the continuous setting, but it's been taking longer to fill up since then. I was initially worried because the fan didn't seem to be turning off after setting a humidity level, but I received helpful advice that explained how the feature works. After adjusting the acceptable humidity level, the condenser and fan turned off as expected. It's been doing a great job in my fairly large basement. -
Quality Third time's the charm!
Review by Mia317 / (Posted on 5/4/2023)I had to place three separate orders before receiving the correct unit that actually works. The first one I received was the non-pump version, then the right model arrived but was dead on arrival. Now I finally have a working unit, hopefully. I feel more at ease knowing I purchased the 4-year extended warranty. -
Quality Pump operations at set point.
Review by Johndan / (Posted on 7/25/2022)I have been using this dehumidifier in our very damp basement for several days now and it has significantly reduced the relative humidity from 76% to 40%. I appreciate the automatic pump feature and the fact that the compressor and fan stop when the set point is reached. It is relatively quiet, although it does produce white noise which may be bothersome in a bedroom.
However, I have a few criticisms. The excessive packaging, including styrofoam, plastic, and cardboard, is wasteful. I also would have preferred a single water output with a garden hose attachment, rather than the two separate outlets and a small plastic hose with a push fitting.
Overall, this is our second unit and we appreciate the larger size and pump. It has done a better job than our previous unit in drying out the room. Despite some concerns, it seems to have better build quality than other China-manufactured dehumidifiers I have experienced. I will update my review if any issues arise. -
Quality Update the heading with a similar phrase, only providing one response and no further details
Review by Maverick / (Posted on 7/22/2022)I've been using this item for two years straight, and it's still going strong. The only issue I've encountered is that the continuous drain, which doesn't have any mechanical parts, has stopped working. I've had to manually empty the bucket in the last couple of weeks, even though I've never had to do that before with the continuous drain hose attached. Despite this, it has effectively lowered the ambient humidity in my basement from 70% to a steady 40-45%, making it a much more comfortable living space than before. -
Quality Large Capacity
Review by Empyrean / (Posted on 7/8/2022)The humidity needs to be tightly controlled after mold remediation, with a goal of less than 50%. The two buckets in the crawl space hold the most water and can be pumped. However, the buckets on the other floors need to be hand-lugged, resulting in potential spillage. The Waykar bucket is the best despite not being Energy Star rated. The Black & Decker bucket is better balanced with a smaller volume and less spillage, but may require more trips to empty. The GE bucket is on a pump in the crawl space, but overall electric bills are high. The Impecca and iHome buckets are both Energy Star rated, but the Impecca extracts higher volume with relatively less spillage. Ideally, the buckets should be put on pumps if possible. -
Quality Just white noise
Review by FlameSpark / (Posted on 7/6/2022)I recently upgraded my older Keystone dehumidifier to this model and I was pleasantly surprised. Even on High, the unit only produces the gentle white noise of a blowing fan, with no annoying drone or rattle from the condenser. It's located near my bedroom and unlike the old unit, I can leave it running through the night without any disturbance. It's also quiet enough for Zoom meetings in the next room.
The dehumidifier effectively pulls moisture and has a decent-sized reservoir. I don't use the pump, but emptying it is easy. The 250-hour cleaning indicator is also helpful for reminding me to clean the reservoir and vacuum the filter.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this unit and would definitely buy it again or recommend it to others. I've been using it for about six weeks now and have had no issues. -
Quality Machine ReviewI live in N. Florida and this machine is AWESOME!
Review by Damyrim / (Posted on 6/29/2022)I had to wait a while for my HVAC to be fixed, so I ordered a dehumidifier to help with the humidity. When it arrived, I turned it on and was amazed at how much water it collected in just a few hours. Even after my AC was fixed, I kept using it and now I can set my thermostat at a comfortable temperature despite the hot weather outside. I am very happy with my purchase! -
Quality Efficiently Extracting Moisture from the Atmosphere
Review by LaiWi / (Posted on 6/18/2022)I previously owned an Impecca dehumidifier for 7 years, and this new one is doing a great job of removing moisture from my 1000 sq ft. basement. It was slightly more expensive than other 50-pint brands, but I thought the pump option for emptying the bucket would be worth it. However, I have encountered an issue with the hose leaking where it connects to the dehumidifier. As a result, I am manually emptying the bucket instead. -
Quality Highly efficient dehumidifier
Review by Annie / (Posted on 6/7/2022)I bought this dehumidifier for my basement and it's the first one that has actually made the basement dry. It's in the unfinished part of the basement where I don't have a drain, but the pump mechanism's hose fits into the same hole as my furnace humidifier pipe. The pump pushes the water into the hole and it travels under the floor to the sump pump in the next room. It seems well made, so the true test will be how long it lasts. It's larger than what's typically required for the room's size, but it's the right size for the amount of moisture I have. -
Quality Definitely worth it, handle with care.
Review by Beezy / (Posted on 5/30/2022)This picture was only included because it is definitely fragile. However, Amazon was fantastic with my return process. They arranged for UPS to pick it up the next day and had a new one delivered to my door the following day. This is the second time I've purchased this product. The first one lasted me over 10 years, and I love the automatic drain valve. I wasn't surprised or upset when it stopped working after 10 years. The new one seems a little louder than my last one, but it could just be me. -
Quality Gets the job done!
Review by KACKY / (Posted on 5/29/2022)This dehumidifier is very efficient at removing moisture from my old, damp Florida house. The bucket fills every 8 to 10 hours, and the size is perfect for me to handle. It's easy to move around because it's lightweight and has wheels. I have a 1600 square foot house and need to move it to different rooms. It's a bit louder than I'd prefer, but overall, I'm glad I purchased it. -
Quality Siphoning moisture from the atmosphere! BUT...
Review by MysticAura / (Posted on 4/24/2022)If you are tall like me, lifting 30 pounds from a low machine to dump 50 pints without hurting your knees or back is a miracle. It's not very quiet, but it works well. It's hard to see the thin red line showing how full it is, especially for tall people. My wife struggled to lift a full drawer out of it, and it took her three days to recover. I recommend having someone younger and in better shape to empty the machine every 8 to 10 hours if you are over 5'10 and older than 55. -
Quality Out of order just after Warranty Ended.
Review by RavenShadowAMP / (Posted on 4/7/2022)I used to love my Impecca dehumidifier, but now I'm having some issues with it. It's been leaking on the floor and I've discovered that the drain pump isn't working properly. I'm frustrated because I can't find a replacement part for it, and it seems like Impecca doesn't offer any support for this issue. It's disappointing to think that I might have to throw away the whole unit just because of a small problem that could be easily fixed if the parts were replaceable. I wouldn't recommend buying from Impecca until they address this issue with non-replaceable parts. It's a shame to waste a good product because of a simple repair problem. -
Quality Outstanding Achievement (3.5 Months)
Review by Aqualuna / (Posted on 4/5/2022)I have been using this product for 3-1/2 months and it has surpassed my expectations. Compared to two other units I have owned in the past, this one is much more efficient and does not generate as much heat during operation. It also quickly reduces humidity. While I read a complaint about difficulty in emptying the water, I have found a technique that works for me and I still prefer this unit over the others I have owned. -
Quality The pump does a great job of preventing water overflow.
Review by HappilyEverAfter / (Posted on 3/15/2022)We use this dehumidifier in our 4 season room with an 18x28 swim/spa and 10ft ceiling to maintain a safe humidity level during the winter. When the temperature drops below 20 degrees outside, we need to keep the humidity around 30% to prevent damage to the structure. Although this dehumidifier only goes down to 35%, it effectively brings the humidity down to 31% within about an hour after we use the spa and cover it with a floating bubble cover. The condensed water is pumped back into the swim/spa to prevent water loss. -
Quality Excellent item but purchase the service agreement!
Review by DeborahMcConnell / (Posted on 10/21/2021)This dehumidifier, while initially reliable, eventually failed and I had to make a warranty claim. Despite regular maintenance, it still broke down. I recommend purchasing a service agreement with any dehumidifier, as they are prone to breaking down. -
Quality Functions as expected, 3 months of uninterrupted usage without any problems
Review by TigerBlue / (Posted on 8/21/2021)This dehumidifier is perfect for my 450 sq foot basement. It automatically pumps out and is plumbed to pump into a sump pump about 4 ft off the ground. It easily brings the humidity down from 65% to 40% on low fan. It retains pump-out settings even if the power is disconnected. It pumps out slowly, taking about 30 minutes to empty the tank, so it can be used in series with a low capacity sump pump. The fan runs a lot, even when the target humidity is reached, but I assume it's to cool the unit off. Overall, I'm happy with its performance and consider it a good value. -
Quality Functions efficiently
Review by DavisWes / (Posted on 7/29/2021)I have three dehumidifiers in my townhouse, with one downstairs in the area where the home gym, guest bedroom, and home theater are located. It tends to get musty, but I've found that the two-gallon dehumidifiers work much better at sucking up moisture compared to the other one. I've been running it from late spring into the fall when the humidity is high in the mid-Atlantic states. It typically lasts about 5-7 years before needing to be replaced. The design is standard with air vents at the top, and I can place them according to furniture and walls. It's in an air-conditioned area and reduces the humidity from 60% to 45%, eliminating any musty smell. I have to empty it daily as I can't use the drain since it's against the wall in a finished room. When watching a movie, I have to turn it off as it's not as quiet as I'd like, but it's average in noise and better in performance. Overall, I'm satisfied with its effectiveness in reducing humidity in the area. -
Quality The reviews were accurate!
Review by Luna / (Posted on 7/20/2021)I did a lot of research before buying this dehumidifier, as it was a significant investment for me. I needed it for medical reasons, so it was important to find the right one. Since getting it, it has effectively kept my entire three-room apartment free of humidity, even in the spacious kitchen/living room area. The humidity levels in my area have been very high, especially this summer, but this dehumidifier has made a huge difference for me. I no longer have any issues and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. It has been worth every penny. When I ask my smart speaker about the humidity now, I used to be concerned with high levels, but now I can confidently respond differently. -
Quality Float Device Unattached, Came with
Review by PrimeReviewer / (Posted on 7/19/2021)After a few hours, I was finally able to attach the float device in the water collection bin, but the plastic cover on the bin was a major obstacle. I was hesitant to force it out of fear of causing damage. If the float comes loose again, I dread the hassle of reconnecting it. If anyone has successfully removed the plastic cover, please share your method. I will update my review once I've tested the efficiency of the pump. Customer service has been unresponsive and unhelpful.
Update July 22After reading customer questions, I learned that the plastic splash cover can be removed, although I haven't tried it myself. I also figured out which hose opening to use with the pump through customer responses. The manufacturer's customer service has been unhelpful, but the Amazon customer service was helpful in some ways and unhelpful in others. I've increased my rating of the product from 3 to 4 as it seems to be working as advertised. -
Quality Smooth sailing, carry on
Review by ApexWolf / (Posted on 6/19/2021)I've been using this item for a few weeks, and it's been doing a good job at removing moisture. The unit isn't too loud, mostly just the fan. I usually keep it at medium speed to reduce the air noise. It fills up with water quickly when the humidity is high. It's easy to move around with its wheels and handle. I haven't used the garden hose connection because I don't have a drain, but the second drain and thin hose work well to pump out the water when the container is full, although the hose connection feels a bit flimsy. The pump is a bit slow but useful when I'm not home to manually empty the container. There's a button to turn the pump feature on and off. I haven't tried the energy saving setting yet. Overall, it's a space-saving and effective unit. -
Quality The downward trend of the item62%-48% in 12 hours.
Review by Snowybird / (Posted on 11/5/2020)I recently set up a new dehumidifier in my fully underground basement, which typically experiences high humidity in the summer. Despite running a smaller, older unit 24/7, I could only get the humidity down to 60%. However, after setting up the new unit, I was amazed to find the humidity dropped from 62% to 48% in just 12 hours, even with two loads of laundry and a shower taken downstairs. After a few weeks of running the unit, the humidity has now reached 37%. I initially set it to 40%, but it was turning off for 15 minutes at a time, so I adjusted it to 35%. I'm curious to see if we can maintain this level of humidity. I will update this review as needed. -
Quality Functioning properly up to this point.
Review by Mia / (Posted on 10/10/2020)I returned the defective dehumidifier and got a new one, which is working well so far. My backup dehumidifier is no longer needed and the humidity level in my home has decreased. The new unit only turns on periodically when the humidity is above my set level. I am happy with it and bought an extended warranty just in case. -
Quality Finally - an effective dehumidifier with a reliable condensate pump!
Review by JohnLevin23 / (Posted on 8/5/2020)I have used multiple dehumidifiers and have found that they work best in cool, humid environments such as basements. It's important to note that the hygrometers on these units are often inadequate, so I recommend purchasing additional hygrometers to accurately measure the humidity in the area you are trying to dry. In Los Angeles, where the humidity is rarely above 65%, I have struggled to achieve the ideal humidity level of less than 50% with some units. It can also be unpleasant if the units are not placed in a cool location, as they generate heat. Finding the right humidity setting, unit placement, and fan speed may require some trial and error to achieve the desired results. In my experience, the Impecca dehumidifiers are of the highest quality, as I have had some units perform well for over 15 years without any issues. However, I have heard that their customer service is lacking, and have experienced problems with other brands as well. One common disappointment with most units is their built-in condensate pumps, as they often fail quickly. However, I have found an exception with one unit that has been working well for over a month. -
Quality Impecca 50-pint Dehumidifier - Upgraded Version
Review by Gerrmanju / (Posted on 8/3/2020)This dehumidifier has been a game changer for our damp basement. Despite trying insulation and other solutions, nothing has worked as effectively as this unit. In less than 24 hours, it completely dried out the space, including the insulation. We have been running it continuously and are thrilled with the results. We will be sure to provide an update at the end of the summer season, but as of now, we are very satisfied with its performance. Plus, the automatic restart feature after a power outage is an added bonus. Highly recommend! -
Quality Functioning flawlessly.
