I bought this unit over a year ago and it was great, especially in the hot southern summers. It uses a steady 40 watts, but there is an initial surge of 300 watts due to the compressor. The default cooling mode works well, but to make it colder, you need to set it to 6 or 7. I stopped using the unit when it began shaking and I heard loose tubes. Despite that issue, it worked well. I also want to mention that I was charged more than the initial price shown, and I'm not sure why. If this happens to you, contact the seller because it's not fair. I won't be reaching out because I think it's too late for me.
