Preserving ice cream in the freezer

I have owned my refrigerator for approximately three weeks now, and so far I am quite pleased with its performance and appearance. It operates quietly, and even when standing next to it, I can barely hear it running. It effectively keeps my ice cream frozen, as long as the room temperature remains relatively constant. I have it placed in my garage, where the temperature ranges from 60F to over 80F. When the thermostat is set to medium and the temperature is above 75F, my ice cream consistently stays solid. As the temperature decreases, I have to adjust the thermostat higher to maintain the same level of coldness in the lower part. It may struggle to keep ice cream frozen in a room around 50F, but the lower part of the refrigerator will still remain below freezing temperature. Overall, I believe this is just a limitation of a single thermostat system, which is why separate freezer thermostats are often preferred. Once properly set to maintain frozen ice cream in a controlled living space, it performs well.

The array is really impressive. The fridge and freezer are much cooler than a standard fridge. When I leave the office room door closed for 10 hours and then open it, the temperature of the house increases by several degrees for a short period of time. It's quite surprising that the house went from 62 degrees Fahrenheit to 68, even when it was only 53 degrees outside. Additionally, the office is never cool, but it's worth it for the refreshing drinks and cool fruit I get from it.

The product is great for freezing and staying cold, but I find the inside shape a bit odd, especially when trying to fit the 5 cup Brita pitcher inside. It may be just me, as I struggle with spatial intelligence.

In March 2015, I bought a double door refrigerator because I was unhappy with the freezer in my previous single door refrigerator. The freezer in the double door refrigerator keeps ice cream frozen and freezes ice effectively, with adequate space. The refrigerator also provides generous space and keeps all my items cold. It is quiet and has a pleasing overall look.

However, there are some drawbacks. The inside of the refrigerator door and can rack make it hard to get cans out, and items placed too far back in the refrigerator may freeze. Additionally, there is frost/ice in the freezer and droplets on the back wall of the refrigerator.

To address the frost/ice issue, I have been using the scraper provided with the fridge to scrape down the freezer once a week and wiping all the ice particles out with a microfiber cloth. When I see droplets building up on the refrigerator back wall, I do the same.

My fridge arrived well-packed, with only a small ding in the back. After letting it settle for 24 hours, I plugged it in and have been using it without any issues so far.

I hope this review helps someone, and I will try to update it as time goes by.

This fridge has been an excellent purchase for me. I specifically chose it because the freezer is larger than other fridges I saw on the market. It's exactly what I wanted, as I can fit a couple of tubs of ice cream in it. The only downside is that I wish the fridge could be a bit colder, even though it's already set to the maximum temperature. However, I was very impressed with how quiet it is. I have it in my bedroom and sometimes forget it's even there because it's so quiet.

I had a hard time finding a fridge for my office, but I was happy to find one with a separate freezer. However, it came with some minor cosmetic defects from shipping. Overall, I would give it a 4/5 so far.

Pros:
- Looks good despite the scratches and dents
- Two sections - one freezer and one fridge
- Gets really cold
- Quiet operation
- Came with a small ice tray and de-ice scraper

Cons:
- Scratches and dents from shipping
- Taller than expected
- May need to de-ice it monthly

I would recommend this fridge, but if scratches and dents bother you, consider purchasing from a store. I will update if anything changes.

This refrigerator is surprisingly quiet and cools quickly. The freezer is spacious and the fridge has plenty of room. Just be careful not to overfill the soda can compartment. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I am not impressed with this refrigerator so far. I let it sit upright for a week while waiting for an electrician to route power to a pool shed. After installing it, I let it cool on a setting between medium and max for a day before putting 4 beers and a pack of cheap flavored ice pops in. The beers were in the drawer and the cold indicator did not show that they were cold. I moved them to the back of the fridge and maxed the temperature. It took about 6 hours for the beers to get cold enough to change the color of the cans. The freeze pops have been in the freezer for nearly 24 hours since maxing the temp and only 3/4 of them are frozen solid. I will give it more time, but I'm concerned that I'm stuck with this fridge as I've already thrown out the shipping box and material. My recommendation to future buyers: Either stay away (it's clear from reviews that not all of these are created equally... poor quality control), or take a gamble but save your shipping box in case you need to return it.

The compact refrigerator and freezer combo is impressive, with a surprisingly large freezer section. It is quiet, with minimal noise, and the freezer can hold about 8 TV dinner boxes. The main refrigerator section has a light, but the freezer does not. The main drawback is the cramped and unadjustable shelf layout, which makes it difficult to store items like 12oz cans and 1 gallon jugs of milk. Despite this, it is still a great refrigerator overall.
