I replaced the batteries in all of my smoke detectors with these batteries, which have a shelf life of seven years.

I received the batteries and found that 2 of them were at 8.8v instead of the expected 9v. However, they are still functioning properly.

I have paid a lot more for 9 volt batteries at other stores, so getting them at this price was a great deal!

I typically change the batteries in my smoke detectors twice a year. This year, I had new batteries on hand and replaced them, but after installing them in two different detectors, they kept emitting a little chirp. This usually happens when the batteries are low, but these were new. I cleaned the detectors, which are several years old, but the chirping continued. I purchased different batteries and after a brief chirp, they worked fine. I would recommend these batteries, although I will still change them every 6 months. I checked that the smoke detectors are functioning properly. Smoke detectors saved my family's life 42 years ago, so I always make sure to have working batteries in them.
