My daughter is 4 years old. She isn't quite ready for the Mario's and Sonics of the world. She needs games that are slower and more friendly. This game system is perfect. All the games, even racing games go at a slow enough pace for 4 and 5 year olds to react. The puzzle games are quite good, even for adults to enjoy. This is probably not the game system for 8+ year olds as the games are a little too simple. I would put this in the 3-6 year old range. My daughter loves it and plays it practically every morning on her ride to school.

Is a little small but works good. Has a long battery life.
