Quality Short-lived beautiful design
Review by SolitaryN / (Posted on 3/14/2024)This appliance was quiet and worked well when it was new, and the design is reasonably attractive. However, after 4 years, it started icing up all the time, regardless of the air temperature. We tried making various adjustments and ensuring the filter was clean, but the manufacturer told us it was out of warranty and not worth fixing. It's a shame to have to recycle it, but it's not worth the cost of repairs. I don't like the idea of throwaway appliances. -
Quality 3 Years In, Leaking at the Bottom
Review by DeedeeKustomer / (Posted on 3/12/2024)This unit is definitely effective and we use it constantly in the bathroom. It does its job well, but we are having trouble locating a leak. We suspect something is preventing water from reaching the drain and filling the collection tray. We plan to disassemble the unit to investigate further. In the meantime, we have purchased a smaller 22 pt unit. -
Quality Efficient home de-humidification accomplished with this Item
Review by EcoFashionista / (Posted on 3/6/2024)The Item can be a bit noisy for me, as I am sensitive to machine noises. However, it effectively reduces humidity and eliminates the unpleasant dank odor. -
Quality Moisture remover
Review by Diprodi / (Posted on 2/19/2024)This product exceeded my expectations in how effectively it pulled water. I was really impressed with its performance. -
Quality Functions properly.
Review by RebelSolstice / (Posted on 2/7/2024)The Item size is impressive and functions effectively. The noise level is satisfactory, though not as quiet as my previous one. I hope that it has a long lifespan like my old one, which lasted 20 years. -
Quality I enjoy my Impecca.
Review by Amethyst / (Posted on 1/21/2024)I have used multiple dehumidifiers in the past, and I must say, the Impecca surpasses them all. It is the best dehumidifier I have ever owned. -
Quality Tranquil.
Review by Georeesejr / (Posted on 12/30/2023)So far this month, the item has been working great. -
Quality Definitely works.
Review by Amethyst / (Posted on 12/26/2023)We are extremely satisfied with this de-humidifier. In fact, we recently purchased a second one. Our home's humidity levels were at 80% before getting them, but now they consistently stay around 50%. We are very grateful! -
Quality High-quality Item.
Review by MilkLance / (Posted on 12/5/2023)We recently built a new house and the builder recommended using a dehumidifier to help dry out the house after construction. It ran constantly and did a great job, so the builder suggested I only run it at 50% from now on. There was a mishap with the drywallers tripping the sump pump breaker and flooding the basement, but when I plugged the dehumidifier back in after cleaning up, it worked perfectly as if nothing had happened. It's a pretty impressive appliance nowadays! -
Quality Replace Our 2nd active system with Our second operational setup
Review by Strider / (Posted on 11/23/2023)We have added 2 of these devices to our cottage in the FL Keys, and they are able to fill the collection bucket daily. When we are away, we connect a hose to drain into our showers. One device is located upstairs and the other is in the downstairs guest suite, with each area covering about 450 sq feet. We make use of Govee smart plugs and leak sensors, which provide remote messages for emergency shutdown capability. -
Quality Ideal
Review by R0M3R / (Posted on 11/23/2023)This unit's features are so good that they may make it hard to use other units. However, noise could be an issue for those who are sensitive to it. Personally, I find the noise to be just white noise and barely noticeable. Overall, the unit functions great. -
Quality Great Division
Review by AceVenture / (Posted on 11/7/2023)This thing has been through 4 years of abuse and it still runs great. I've used it in my attached garage (2 &1/2 car) all year round to keep humidity and water out, dealing with vehicle ice melt/water in the winter as a big issue in Wisconsin. Originally, I had a propane ventless heater which created a lot of humidity in the garage in the winter, but this unit has consistently kept the vehicles and garage dry overnight after snow storms and water runoff. It has consistently run in temperatures ranging from the low 50s to 90s without any issues. I regularly do metal and wood work in the garage, so there are extra contaminants, but it hasn't affected the unit at all. Just a wash of the filter and it's good to go. I highly recommend this great unit. -
Quality Incredible Gadget
Review by Lburgos123 / (Posted on 11/3/2023)I've had this for around a year now and absolutely adore it. -
Quality Everything's going well
Review by Glen / (Posted on 10/26/2023)I am a huge supporter of this company. I've had an ice maker running nonstop for four years, so it was an easy decision to purchase their dehumidifier. It's currently working well in my 2000 sq ft basement. -
Quality Functioned properly when new.
Review by SmileySparkle / (Posted on 10/23/2023)The dehumidifier had a 1-year warranty, but it stopped working after a year and 5 months. They offered no discount on a new one, so I bought a different brand with a 2-year warranty for a few dollars more. It seems that getting 3-4 years out of a small dehumidifier is typical. -
Quality Great value for money!
Review by CynthaLynn / (Posted on 10/18/2023)The unit was delivered in excellent packaging and was easy to set up. It operates very quietly and efficiently, covering a large basement of 2000 sq ft. I am extremely satisfied with this product. -
Quality Valuable venture
Review by WhisperWind / (Posted on 10/8/2023)I purchased this dehumidifier over 3 years ago, and it has been a great investment. It works very well, and I haven't had any negative issues with it. Moving from a dry area to a more humid environment, this dehumidifier helps to adjust the humidity in my apartment to my liking. It's also adjustable, so you can customize the level of dryness. I've noticed that it even helps with feeling too cold inside, as humidity seems to make it feel colder. I would definitely buy this product again if needed. -
Quality efficient mechanism
Review by ZenithWolf / (Posted on 10/6/2023)I have been using this Item for over 2 years and have had no issues. It was a great purchase. -
Quality Outstanding strength
Review by CascoAleksey / (Posted on 9/26/2023)This product has been great for managing the high humidity issues in my house, especially with my daughter's asthma. The comfort setting is very helpful and we've never had any issues in the 5 years we've been using it. I highly recommend this dehumidifier. -
Quality Outstanding Customer Service
Review by SerendipitySeeker / (Posted on 9/26/2023)The unit malfunctioned within the first year of warranty, and a replacement was promptly sent out within 2 days. -
Quality Operates as expected.
Review by NewUsernamegary / (Posted on 9/19/2023)This dehumidifier worked so well in my damp garage that I ordered a second one to replace the one in my house. I have never found a better dehumidifier! -
Quality Trustworthy
Review by PopSwan / (Posted on 9/9/2023)We've owned this unit for 2 years, and it's still going strong. We're happy with our purchase. -
Quality Hush! Functions Perfectly! Absence of a pump though.
Review by Drea / (Posted on 8/14/2023)The product works great if you can empty the bucket according to the instructions. -
Quality Performs admirably!
Review by RBEER / (Posted on 7/17/2023)I absolutely love this dehumidifier! It effectively maintains the humidity level throughout my entire house at my desired setting. It even allows me to raise the settings on my air conditioner and still remain comfortable. I'm thrilled with my purchase, especially considering its affordable price. This dehumidifier has far surpassed my expectations! -
Quality Highly effective and efficient.
Review by Amethyst / (Posted on 6/29/2023)After testing out different brands, I discovered that this one is one of the most cost-effective and efficient options available. -
Quality Coil froze after nearly 3 years of use.
Review by JadeLuna / (Posted on 5/16/2023)The coil functioned properly for three years, but now the bottom part is freezing. -
Quality functions effectively
Review by DiamondBush / (Posted on 5/3/2023)This product has been running for several days and has been effective at quickly collecting water and shutting off when the basin is full. Its wheels make it convenient to move from room to room, and it's easy to remove the water receptacle to dump in the sink or tub. I purchased two of the 4500 sq ft units and have been satisfied with both after using them for about a month. I hope they will last! I would recommend this product. -
Quality Quietly
Review by DiazSue / (Posted on 4/25/2023)The atmosphere is serene and peaceful. -
Quality Excellent item
Review by JoanneEdwards97 / (Posted on 4/24/2023)I purchased this dehumidifier to prevent further damage to my home after it was flooded by melted snow. It turned out to be a real life saver. -
Quality Excellent
Review by carlylisa / (Posted on 4/18/2023)This Item works perfectly for my needs. After watching a few instructional videos, it does exactly what I need it to do. Highly recommend it. -
Quality Great item
Review by WhisperWind / (Posted on 4/14/2023)The delivery was fast and the instructions were easy to follow. -
Quality Perform the task
Review by MysticAura / (Posted on 4/6/2023)The dehumidifier is a bit noisy, but it does a great job of keeping my bathroom dry. -
Quality True to its promise
Review by DWix / (Posted on 4/1/2023)After using this unit for a month or two, we have noticed a significant improvement in our indoor humidity levels. The unit effectively removes moisture, resulting in the elimination of frost on our windows during cold weather. It is easy to use and empty, and the filter maintenance process is simple. However, the unit is a bit loud. Despite regular cleaning, the filter light consistently comes on, but the filter is not very dusty. Overall, the unit continues to work effectively. -
Quality Perform the task
Review by Tsar2ga / (Posted on 3/31/2023)This Item effectively eliminates moisture from the master bedroom, dual closets, and large master bath. -
Quality Amazing Item!
Review by LandryA / (Posted on 3/30/2023)I recently purchased this dehumidifier to replace our old and noisy Kenmore unit in our upstairs closet. The packaging was professional, the set up was easy, and the instruction manual was helpful. I was impressed by the quality and weight of the dehumidifier. After using it for a few months, I can say that it is very effective at removing moisture from the air and is much quieter than our previous unit. My only minor complaint is that the water tank is a bit difficult to realign when replacing. Overall, I highly recommend this outstanding product at an incredible price. -
Quality Ideal dehumidifier for us
Review by Rebex / (Posted on 3/30/2023)We were unaware of the high humidity levels in our home, but since using this product, we've noticed a significant improvement in air quality. The house now feels fresher and cleaner, and we can breathe much more easily. I would definitely recommend this, especially for those living in the southern region. -
Quality Tranquil
Review by lunarwolf / (Posted on 3/30/2023)there is nothing to assemble, the product runs quietly, and it gets the job done. -
Quality Rescued my basement
Review by TruthfulDobby / (Posted on 3/18/2023)I reside in a 160-year-old house, and using this has helped to keep the water out while I work on the house. Replacing the old one with this new product has been incredibly efficient, cutting my energy bill in half. -
Quality Mission accomplished!
Review by WhisperingShadow / (Posted on 3/13/2023)This Item gathers moisture quickly and has a drain hook-up. I am still exploring its features, but so far, I am pleased with it. -
Quality I have 3 of these - I possess 3 of these
Review by Koriandra / (Posted on 3/12/2023)I reside in the Bay Area and want to mention the heavy rain we've been having this year. I have three of these devices, with two in the basement and one upstairs, and they work incredibly well. I find myself emptying them every day. I definitely recommend them. -
Quality Marvellous MAPs
Review by Yekedery / (Posted on 3/7/2023)This dehumidifier is a game-changer for my 2000 sq ft basement in the humid South. It efficiently removes moisture like nothing I've ever seen before. I wish I had bought it sooner. -
Quality It came as planned.
Review by CountryGalReba / (Posted on 3/7/2023)This Item is quiet, but it causes severe anxiety for our dog, who isn't afraid of anything else. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this issue. -
Quality Outstanding moisture removal
Review by Mila / (Posted on 3/6/2023)This dehumidifier was originally purchased to dry out a plumbing accident, but now we also use it to reduce moisture in the air in our humid Florida climate. It has proven to be quiet, efficient, and reliable, shutting off automatically when the reservoir is full. It has made a noticeable difference in our home's humidity levels and has even helped our AC run more efficiently. We are amazed by how much water it removes from the atmosphere without us even realizing it. Overall, we have had a positive experience with this dehumidifier and have no problem leaving it unattended. -
Quality Meets its promised functionality.
Review by Bawesome / (Posted on 3/1/2023)This machine effectively reduces the humidity in our 16,000 sqf home and has helped alleviate the phlegm in my lungs. The water removal process is simple, and while it is somewhat noisy, it is within expected levels. -
Quality Work animal
Review by Brielle / (Posted on 2/26/2023)This product is really amazing! I purchased my first one three years ago and it does such a fantastic job that I bought another one. It keeps the air in my basement comfortable and I am very happy with it. -
Quality Works perfectly, no problems whatsoever,
Review by Arntzville / (Posted on 2/22/2023)I've been using this unit for about a month, and it has significantly improved the atmosphere in my basement. I haven't tried any of the programmed functions, just kept it running. I wanted to address the complaint that the water collection vessel is difficult to empty without making a mess. This is simply not true. While it's not a traditional pitcher with a spout, with a little care and attention, pouring out the water is easy and there's no problem at all. -
Quality High-quality dehumidifier
Review by Pamela777 / (Posted on 2/17/2023)I bought this dehumidifier based on the positive reviews and its reasonable price. I am very satisfied with my purchase overall. The only issue I have is with emptying the water, as it can be difficult to do when using a container. Additionally, the water catcher is tricky to push back in after emptying. Despite these minor drawbacks, I am still very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend it. -
Quality Efficient operation, cumbersome cleanup.
Review by Starkid / (Posted on 1/29/2023)This unit is performing well in a master bedroom with mold problems. I was able to buy a larger unit for a lower price than a smaller one, and it's not any noisier than I anticipated. It has good airflow and is easy to set up. The only issue I have is with the design of the water reservoir - it has so many angles and parts that it's challenging to empty without spilling a little. -
Quality Weighty
Review by PattyJohnLew / (Posted on 1/25/2023)The product has been working well so far, but it is quite weighty. -
Quality Works efficiently, a bit loud.
Review by GalaxyCraze / (Posted on 1/19/2023)The unit functions effectively and has a noise level similar to other dehumidifiers. However, the turbo fan speed is not significantly faster than normal speed. It would be preferable for the normal speed to be slightly lower to reduce noise. Additionally, the fan does not shut off very often and continues to run while the compressor cycles off, resulting in ongoing noise from the fan. -
Quality Functions perfectly.
Review by JadeRiver / (Posted on 12/28/2022)I can't speak to its energy efficiency, but I can say that this device is very effective at reducing humidity. It's especially helpful during the summer when the air gets really humid - I often have to empty it up to three times a day. It also helps a lot when I shampoo my carpets in the winter, as it speeds up the drying time. While it can be a bit noisy when it's running, it actually acts as a good barrier between upstairs and downstairs noise. Overall, it's a reliable and durable dehumidifier. I've moved it between homes a few times and it's held up well. It's a bit heavy to lift off its wheels, but that's not something you'll need to do often. -
Quality An exceptional purchase I've made recently
Review by ZiggyScott / (Posted on 12/13/2022)After moving into a townhouse rental with a large, musty basement, I kept a dehumidifier running and draining into a sink for 3 years, successfully keeping the humidity below 50%. When I moved to a larger house with a slightly smaller basement, I replaced two smaller dehumidifiers with one larger one draining into a grill, and the humidity dropped into the 40's. It's so quiet that I only hear it when I'm in the basement, and cleaning the filter is quick and easy with the reminder feature. -
Quality Purchase a 3-year insurance plan for $21!
Review by jaxxarose / (Posted on 11/28/2022)I initially had some issues with the dehumidifier not working properly, but I was able to fix it myself after discovering the problem with the bucket switch position. It has been working well for a few hours now and I am satisfied with its performance. I was initially drawn to the product because of the discounted price and positive reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is compared to previous models I have had. The shipping was also prompt and efficient. However, I am only giving it four stars because it seems like the product did not undergo proper quality control. Despite this, I still recommend purchasing the three-year insurance for added peace of mind. -
Quality Functions properly.
Review by KarlNes23 / (Posted on 8/14/2022)The product works well and is a good buy. -
Quality Superb dehumidifier
Review by NiftyRunner / (Posted on 8/6/2022)This dehumidifier works exceptionally well and is surprisingly quiet. Occasionally, it may hum a bit louder or vibrate, but a simple tap usually fixes it. Compared to other brands I've owned in the past, this unit is far more effective. I've had issues with Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Dandy dehumidifiers breaking after just a couple of summers. Repair costs were often high and not always successful. I've had to replace them multiple times. I'll update if this unit stops working, but so far I highly recommend it. I am very pleased with this dehumidifier. -
Quality Exceptional product and Outstanding customer support
Review by Vyronix / (Posted on 7/22/2022)After functioning well for just over a year, the dehumidifier suddenly stopped working without any apparent reason. It didn't even light up, indicating a loss of power. I contacted the manufacturer's support and was pleasantly surprised when they offered to send me a replacement, despite being outside of the warranty period. This gesture really demonstrates their commitment to their products and customer satisfaction. The new unit is working perfectly, and I am extremely satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again if the need arises. -
Quality Defrost the coils on the Item.
Review by ThunderGod / (Posted on 6/13/2022)I initially thought my Item was broken, but then I realized I just needed to clean the filter and coils, which had caused them to freeze up. After unplugging it for a few days to thaw, I plugged it back in and it's now working perfectly. It's still a bit noisy, but it's in the basement, so it's not a problem. I've had it for 3 years and it's still going strong. -
Quality Operated effectively for nearly 24 months.
Review by stellarburst / (Posted on 5/5/2022)We bought this dehumidifier in July 2020 and it has been a reliable workhorse. It runs almost non-stop when needed and has been very effective at maintaining our desired humidity levels. We've noticed that it also helps our A/C run more efficiently in the hot months. However, we recently encountered an issue where the dehumidifying element stopped working, even though the fan motor continued to run. We tried cleaning it, but couldn't get it fixed, so we'll have to buy another one. Overall, we have been happy with the unit and don't mind spending the money to keep the air dryer. -
Quality Avoid purchasing without an extended warranty or opt for a higher quality brand.
Review by GreenThumber / (Posted on 3/20/2022)After using the Impecca unit in my finished basement for less than 2 years, it started freezing up on the coils. Despite turning it off and letting it thaw out, it continued to freeze up in just 5 minutes. I suspect a refrigerant leak. In contrast, my Frigidaire unit in the garage portion of my basement, where wet cars are parked, has been running great for over 4 years. I won't be buying Impecca again. Their 1 year warranty pales in comparison to Frigidaire's 5 year warranty.
Update: After the company saw my review, they reached out to me via email and asked me to contact them. It turns out that the unit has a 2 year warranty if purchased from Amazon. They promptly replaced my unit and shipped it out quickly. While they didn't ask me to change my review, I am giving them two stars for their customer service. -
Quality Excellent buy
Review by Lia / (Posted on 1/9/2022)I am extremely satisfied with my recent acquisition of a 50 PT dehumidifier from Impecca. The quality is exceptional considering the price. -
Quality Loud and clear
Review by Amethyst / (Posted on 1/3/2022)After using this dehumidifier for a week, I am generally satisfied with it. However, I want to mention that the noise level is quite high. I will continue to monitor its performance and update my review, including information about its impact on my electricity bill. -
Quality Dehumidifies the Air
Review by TideRoller / (Posted on 9/23/2021)This is my first dehumidifier and I'm still deciding on its effectiveness. I'm curious to see if it will lower my electric bill even though it uses power. The noise doesn't bother me and it moves easily on hardwood floors. I haven't set up external drainage yet, so I have to empty the bucket multiple times a day. It's simple to do but if I were gone all day, I would definitely set up constant drainage. The humidity indicator may not be accurate, but I haven't calibrated it. I have noticed a 20% change in humidity over time. Depending on its energy efficiency, I may buy another unit, especially if there is a discount available. -
Quality I was hoping to enjoy this unit
Review by WildChild / (Posted on 9/17/2021)After having two Chinese competitors fail, I decided to try the Impecca dehumidifier and was impressed with the design and features. However, after 11 months of use, it began to ice up and no longer dehumidify. Impecca quickly replaced the unit and offered to cover the cost of shipping the faulty unit back. I have now gone through 5 dehumidifiers from 2 different companies in less than 2 years, with similar issues of refrigerant not circulating properly through the coils. Companies should be responsible for covering return shipping for defective products, and better quality control is needed to prevent these products from ending up in landfills. -
Quality Exceptional Customer Service
Review by Jmber11 / (Posted on 9/3/2021)We are big fans of this product - it's quiet, efficient, and does exactly what it's supposed to without any unnecessary complications. It has a simple, clean design and effectively removes humidity from the air. Our reason for writing this review is because we recently experienced a minor leak after moving the unit downstairs due to flooding. After contacting the company for advice, they went through diagnostics with us over the phone and ultimately decided to ship us a replacement 50 pint unit at no cost, even though we were just 10 days out of warranty. We were pleasantly surprised by their level of customer service. -
Quality Impressive results - in one month it removed approximately 70 gallons of moisture from the basement!
Review by KrakenJumper / (Posted on 8/29/2021)The machine is quiet, the water collection unit is easy to remove and replace, the controls are easy to use, and the set-up is very straightforward. -
Quality Ideal for extremely moist basement conditions
Review by Amethyst / (Posted on 8/10/2021)We opted for the 50 pint model because our basement is very damp and we are concerned about mold. The large bucket capacity is convenient as we only need to empty it three times a day. However, we encountered two challenges. The cord is too short and the design of the bucket makes it difficult to pour out without spilling. Despite these drawbacks, the dehumidifier functions well and the noise level is acceptable. -
Quality Difficult to clear but functions well
Review by Amethyst / (Posted on 8/9/2021)So far, this Item works well in my basement and is fairly quiet. However, it is more difficult to remove the water reservoir compared to my old one. The reservoir fills up to the top and I have to angle it just right to prevent spilling. Putting it back in place can also be tricky to get it to slide back in properly. -
Quality 1 year later...Amazing!!!!!
Review by BushMichael / (Posted on 7/12/2021)After using this dehumidifier for almost a year since I purchased it in August 2020, I can confidently say that it is an amazing product. It is incredibly quiet and effectively removes a significant amount of moisture from the air. My house has a constant humidity issue due to a failing central AC, but this dehumidifier has been a lifesaver in reducing the humidity levels. The only inconvenience is having to empty it multiple times a day, but it's a small price to pay for the benefits it provides. I highly recommend getting the largest size and choosing your own setting, as it will definitely exceed your expectations. -
Quality Becomes unresponsive after three years.
Review by Amethyst / (Posted on 7/5/2021)In my experience, after three years of use, the freezer began to freeze up and did not go into defrost mode as the instructions indicated. This was not the quality I was hoping for. -
Quality Upgraded product, slightly heavier than previous version.
Review by RaeWillow / (Posted on 6/27/2021)The previous humidifier we had was not suitable for our shelf due to its weight, even without water. However, we love the visual of being able to see the water and the product works great. -
Quality Great item
Review by Vortex / (Posted on 6/4/2021)After testing this Item overnight in my basement, I can confirm that it works as expected. I recommend setting the backside air inlet to the side to save space and allow the unit to be placed closer to the wall. I appreciate the shape design and top maneuverability. The noise level is acceptable, but I am not sure about the energy efficiency yet. -
Quality House purchase for seeping roof
Review by ABeyRise / (Posted on 3/18/2021)I recently moved from IL to MS and bought my first house, a small fixer upper. I found that the interior humidity reached 85% one year, so I decided to purchase a dehumidifier. I couldn't find a good one at Lowes, so I bought one on a whim for $300 less than the Lowes equivalent. Here are my thoughts:
Pros:
- The dehumidifier works very well and quickly. I have the 1500 unit in my living room and the 4500 in my kitchen, and they both work effectively in those rooms.
- The continual mode connector is a standard garden hose connector, making it easy to set up a drainage system out of a window.
- The dehumidifier can drop the humidity by 10% per hour and shuts off at 50%, but in my poorly sealed house, it usually levels out around 54% and runs constantly.
Meh:
- The connector for the continual flow is made of plastic, which I worry could wear easily.
- The noise level is average and can be tuned out when the TV is on, but it does have a slight condensation issue.
Cons:
- The wheels are not visible, so there is no way to lock them when using the dehumidifier in continual mode. It can be a bit of a hassle to prop it up for proper draining.
- There is a slight condensation issue, which can be fixed with pipe insulation.
Conclusion:
Overall, I found the dehumidifier to be worth the $200 price. It has a sharp design, feels quality, and has proven to be compact and effective in my home. I purchased two units and would recommend them to others. -
Quality Been running nonstop for 6 weeks now...
Review by RBJuniq / (Posted on 3/17/2021)I have been running the Impecca 50 pint dehumidifier almost constantly for 6 weeks now and it has been a lifesaver. After my landlord replaced the heater with an open-flame model, the excessive moisture created a serious condensation problem in my apartment, leading to mold and difficulty breathing. The dehumidifier has completely taken care of the moisture issue, extracting about 2.5 gallons of water every day and keeping the humidity around 30%. However, the tank is difficult to re-install and the auto mode turns the unit on and off frequently, so I just run it on continuous to avoid this. Overall, it works very well and is easy to move. I got a great deal with a $40 off coupon and I am very happy with it. -
Quality Faulty unit with unreliable readings.
Review by Doomerato / (Posted on 2/14/2021)The dehumidifier effectively controls basement humidity to prevent mold, but the meter is highly inaccurate. It reads 53% when the air is bone dry in winter, and still attempts to extract moisture. It's not recommended for specific humidity levels, but works well for basic on/off functionality. However, the units only last about a year, and I've had 2 fail to function after extended storage. On the plus side, my original unit was replaced under warranty. I recommend purchasing mid-season to test and file a warranty claim if necessary. -
Quality Looking for a De-Humidifier? This one is perfect!
Review by Raks / (Posted on 2/2/2021)I had been experiencing constant breathing issues that felt like allergies. My nose was always stuffed up and dry, making it difficult to even blow my nose. I thought a dehumidifier would make my breathing worse, but after researching online, I discovered that moist air was the cause of my problems. Getting a dehumidifier made a huge difference, and I no longer wake up with stuffiness. I wish I had bought one sooner, as the results are incredible. The air in my home feels much better now.
After realizing I needed a dehumidifier, I did a lot of research to find the right one. I found that they are all similar, so the deciding factor was price. I found one for $159, with a $40 coupon, and it looks great. I like that the wheels are hidden, making it look more sleek, and the grey/white color is nice. It has all the features of more expensive units and was delivered less than 24 hours after ordering, which was impressive.
If you're considering a dehumidifier, I highly recommend this one. It does everything it claims to do and has all the features of more expensive units. It's really helped me breathe better. -
Quality Moisture finally regulated
Review by SpunkyJazz / (Posted on 2/1/2021)I am happy with the performance of this unit so far. I received it quickly after ordering, and it is as quiet as my window unit. In the first 8 hours, it filled the tank, which was impressive. The foundation has dried and musty odors are gone. I did a lot of research on different brands and read many reviews before choosing this one for its good value. Overall, I am satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone with an area less than 4500 sq ft. Good job! -
Quality A bit excessive but it works well.
Review by Smithy / (Posted on 12/25/2020)This air dehumidifier has been a great investment for me. I initially used a 4500sq foot one in my RV for 2.7 years before it started freezing over and had to be replaced. Despite this, it did a great job preventing mold damage in my motorhome. I replaced it with a slightly smaller version of the same brand and have had no issues. I also purchased another one for a 1200sq ft steel building, and although it struggles to keep the building under 60% humidity, I believe the issue lies more with the building's insulation. I may buy a second unit to ease the load on the current one. Overall, I can still recommend this unit. It even remembers it was on in the event of a power outage and starts back up after a 2 min delay. However, I think the 4500sq foot capacity is a bit of a stretch. In my 1000 sq foot garage, it works well to keep the humidity at 50%, and it should be sufficient for a max of 2000 sq foot given good insulation. It doesn't noticeably affect my power bill and I would definitely purchase it again. -
Quality Dehumidifier Work Horse
Review by GenesisLynne / (Posted on 10/16/2020)I purchased this dehumidifier for my split level house's laundry room and basement. It unintentionally heats the room, which is a nice added benefit. The handle on the water reservoir makes emptying it a breeze. I appreciate the option to bypass the reservoir with the included hose. It is a bit noisy for a bedroom, but not a problem in the laundry room. Overall, it is efficient and I would purchase it again. -
Quality Rate this Item on a scale of 1 to 10.
Review by BaileyRobert / (Posted on 10/13/2020)I only gave this device a 4 because I am hesitant about trusting products and the claims made by vendors. We purchased this for our garage in South Florida to avoid installing an AC unit. It is supposed to cover almost 3 times the size of the garage, and it seems to do that. Summers are very humid, and even without the cooling, once this was installed and connected to a drain, it worked well. It seems to be fairly cool, a bit warmer when it's really working (more humid). My only advice is to make sure the hose you use is sealed very well, perhaps with white silicon tape or duct tape. The unit was working well enough that the hose seemed to have trouble, which is a good thing. So, given all of this, I give the Impecca a rating of 4 out of 5. -
Quality Effective at eliminating canine flatulence odor
Review by AvalancheZ66 / (Posted on 10/1/2020)This is my second dehumidifier, as the first one is still working but a bit louder. Although it is listed as 4500sq feet, I live in a mobile home and have less square footage. It effectively removes moisture from the air, especially in Florida's humid climate. On the factory setting, it maintains my home's humidity at 50% and I need to empty the bucket once a day. When set to continuous and turbo at 30%, I need to drain it twice a day. The noise level is quiet at first but becomes more noticeable after 6 months, which doesn't bother me. I have had no issues running the dehumidifier with the AC. I even bought another one for my bedroom and recommend using a humidity thermometer. Overall, I have no complaints and highly recommend this dehumidifier. -
Quality High performance, minimal noise
Review by TonevManuil / (Posted on 9/29/2020)The humidity level cannot be controlled, but it seems to be calibrated well to maintain low humidity. I am very pleased with the low noise level, as it emits a smooth hum even when the compressor is running. However, the bucket is difficult to remove and replace, often requiring extra effort to settle it in place. Although it is larger than other models I have seen, I wish it were even bigger. I also wish it came with a hose, as I had to order one separately. Despite these minor issues, it works well for the basement area I am using it in. Overall, I am satisfied with the product and would recommend it. -
Quality Amazing Achievements
Review by BrownishGregory / (Posted on 9/14/2020)I can't recall the last time I was so eager to write a review. My basement, especially the laundry room, had a strong basement smell. After using this dehumidifier, the tank filled up within a few hours and the smell was already improving. I was surprised by the amount of moisture in my basement and how much the smell had improved in just two days. I appreciate that it automatically shuts off when full, and while some may prefer to use a hose to avoid emptying it, I enjoy seeing the results and using the water for my flowers. In terms of noise, it is similar to a fan and I find it to be tolerable. I usually run it on turbo, and it has even helped the infant I have staying with me to sleep better. I also have issues with house centipedes, so I'll be interested to see if it helps with them, as they are attracted to moisture. I highly recommend this dehumidifier for anyone trying to eliminate basement odors. -
Quality Absolute powerhouse
Review by NeuroBlast / (Posted on 9/12/2020)I hope this review doesn't need any updates in a few years. This dehumidifier is designed for a larger space than the one I'm using, which I think is a good thing. It's noticeably reducing the humidity in our basement. It's been pulling gallons of water out of the air each week during this unusually rainy and humid Virginia summer. It replaced a Frigidaire that lasted 4 years, and while it's a bigger unit, it's pulling a lot more water out of the air. It runs more often than the Frigidaire, but for shorter amounts of time, making it more efficient. I'm only using the bin, not the hose outlet, and I have to empty it more often because it's pulling so much water out of the air, which is a good thing. The controls are easy to understand after a quick look at the instructions. I'm very satisfied so far. It's been working really well without any issues. -
Quality Outstanding item. Strongly suggest.
Review by Magik2k / (Posted on 9/4/2020)After receiving the Impecca Dehumidifier (4500 sqft), I left it in the box for almost two days before setting it up in my basement. It has been running for 14 days now and has removed approximately 70 gallons of water. I was surprised to find out how humid my basement was, but the dehumidifier seems to be doing a good job. I will update my review after owning it for a few months.
One downside is that it is louder than I expected. I also agree with other reviewers that the water tank has a design flaw. It often seems to only close on one side and not the other, making it difficult to close properly without the fear of damaging the tank.
Update 1: After using the dehumidifier for about 3 weeks, I connected a hose to it to drain the water directly, but I found that the water tank was still full and the machine had turned off, indicating that the water drain on the back may not work properly. -
Quality Warranty honored by manufacturer after 1 year of use.
Review by Syrinx / (Posted on 9/2/2020)After experiencing a frustrating issue with the unit, we were initially unable to reach the seller for assistance. After finally making contact, the seller honored the warranty and sent a replacement unit, although with the caveat that it does not come with a warranty. We have updated our rating from 1-star to 4-stars to reflect the seller's appropriate response, but still have reservations about recommending the product due to its failure within a year of use. The unit performs well when it functions properly, but the hassle of obtaining a replacement and the lack of customer support from the manufacturer are concerning. We will update our review if the manufacturer reaches out to resolve the issue. -
Quality Top-rated Humidifier!
Review by Cooker / (Posted on 8/8/2020)I have tried several different humidifiers for my recording studio in the basement, including the Frigidaire and Colzer brands, but I was not satisfied with their performance. However, I have been using the Impecca unit for a couple of weeks now and it has been able to maintain the humidity level in the lower 50s, which the other units could not do. It automatically shuts off when it reaches the desired humidity level, but I do find the noise level to be a bit loud, especially in turbo mode. However, I can just turn off the turbo mode when recording. The hose hook-up is built-in and once I finally got it attached, the unit no longer fills the bucket, which is a big improvement from my previous experiences with other units. Overall, I would recommend this unit, despite the fact that it is made overseas by an American company, as it is hard to find an American made dehumidifier. -
Quality More affordable alternatives may exist for this Item.
Review by GeminiCraft / (Posted on 7/8/2020)This Item works well by moving air and removing water. It also produces some warm air, which is beneficial in a large basement. I tested it in a bedroom and it noticeably warmed the room in a short amount of time. I recommend this unit, although it seems to be essentially the same as the Toshiba TDDP5012ES2. The plastic and control fascia are slightly different, but operationally they are the same. The Toshiba can be purchased for about $70 less from a big-box store in the USA (July 2020). -
Quality Satisfactory Item.
Review by William2 / (Posted on 7/4/2020)The dehumidifier arrived 3 days ago and we were cautioned not to turn it on for 24 hours. It seemed to work well for a while in preventing mildew in a 2000 square foot house. However, after leaving it running while we were away, it stopped working and the support from the manufacturer has been unresponsive so far. I have been told I will receive a new unit under the 2-year warranty and will update my review once it arrives and is tested. -
Quality Efficient dehumidifier
Review by FelineGus / (Posted on 7/1/2020)This 50p. Model dehumidifier is great for our 3400 sq. Ft home in the South East with high humidity levels. It was easy to set up and has clear instructions. The controls are user-friendly and it operates quietly compared to other dehumidifiers. After just a few days, it was able to significantly lower the relative humidity in our home. We empty it twice in a 24 hour period and have noticed a noticeable improvement in air quality. -
Quality Dehumidifier and Space Heater Combo
Review by Maverick Oakley / (Posted on 6/28/2020)I found this product to be amazing at what it does. During the summer when my apartment becomes unbearably humid without air conditioning, this product has been able to pull a full bucket of moisture every twelve hours for three days, resulting in noticeably dryer air. However, I did notice that it also emits hot air, making my apartment warmer than usual. While it effectively solves one problem, it creates another. Overall, it's a great product, but I can't give it a five-star rating. -
Quality Performance is remarkable.
Review by BorderD / (Posted on 6/13/2020)Living in Florida, our summers are extremely humid and it takes forever for anything to dry. We were constantly dealing with condensation issues and decided to try a dehumidifier. The one we purchased is for 4,500 Sq. Ft. and has a 1.8 Gallon tank. In just 48 hours, it has already removed almost 8 gallons of water from our air, greatly improving the humidity levels in our home. My skin no longer feels sticky and there is no condensation on my A/C vent. I plan on purchasing another for my office because it has the same issues. The noise level is not bad and it's easy to empty and move around. I highly recommend this dehumidifier and wish I had bought it sooner. -
Quality Everything is going well as of now.
Review by WhisperingWillow / (Posted on 6/10/2020)I purchased the 4500 sq ft unit for our 2000 sq ft basement and it has been effective in reducing moisture, collecting 2 to 3 buckets of water per day. It is a bit loud, especially in turbo mode, but not significantly louder than other dehumidifiers I've used. It is easy to move on a hard floor with its wheels, but a little heavy on carpet. The bucket is easy to remove and replace, although it requires some force to fully seat it. Overall, I am pleased with the performance and noise level of this dehumidifier and hope it lasts a long time. -
Quality Works perfectly!
Review by WhiskerPaws / (Posted on 5/29/2020)This dehumidifier has been a game-changer for my 1945 brick house with a dirt crawl space. It has effectively reduced the moisture and mold problem to a comfortable level of 45-50%. When I first started using it, I had to empty it twice a day and monitored its performance with hydrometers. The attached meter proved to be accurate as well. Although I haven't found a permanent spot for it yet, I have been moving it around the house and can't speak to its hose-emptying abilities. However, it has successfully eliminated the gnat problem and now I only need to empty it once a day. This is especially impressive given the spring/summer rainy season and clay soil here in SCC. Additionally, my allergies have significantly improved since using this dehumidifier. -
Quality Water's unpredictable path
Review by Hacktodd / (Posted on 5/23/2020)I purchased an Impecca dehumidifier last Fall and used it for about a week before encountering issues with water leakage. Despite reaching out to the company and initially not receiving a response, I was eventually able to get in touch with them and they quickly sent me a replacement unit. I am now satisfied with their customer support and believe they stand behind their product. Thank you, Impecca, for addressing my concerns and providing me with a working dehumidifier. -
Quality Poor ergonomics, despite good performance and unobtrusive appearance.
Review by Murasakiwolf / (Posted on 5/7/2020)I recently purchased the Impecca 4,500 Sq. Ft. Dehumidifier for my walk-out basement and have mixed feelings about it. The unit arrived well-packaged and without any damage. It was fairly easy to set up and the performance in removing moisture is outstanding. However, there are a couple of issues that led me to give it a three-star rating.
Firstly, the controls are outdated and don't match the unit's aesthetics. I would prefer more modern controls, and some parts of the panel are not intuitive. Secondly, the design of the reservoir makes it difficult to clean and it's nearly impossible to pour out the water without making a mess.
Overall, I will be keeping the unit and plan to run a drain line to it to avoid dealing with the reservoir. While the performance is great, the negatives significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the product. If you found this review helpful, please consider clicking the helpful button below. -
Quality Monstrous!
Review by BearMama / (Posted on 4/13/2020)I purchased the dehumidifier on January 18th due to musty odors and moldy smells in the house, as well as damage to my leather and faux leather clothing and shoes. When I first started using the dehumidifier, the humidity level was 88%. I used the turbo setting and had to empty the canister every 3-4 hours. I set the desired humidity to 35, and the machine ran 24/7, except for at night or if we forgot to empty it during the day. By early April, I noticed a significant improvement in the crispness and freshness of the house's smell. The machine stopped running last Wednesday when the humidity reached 35, and now it hovers around the 39-40% range. Overall, the dehumidifier has exceeded my expectations, although there is still a slight odor in the master suite, indicating that mold growth is being inhibited but not completely eradicated. My house is 3500 square feet with an open floor plan, and I usually leave the doors open and keep the unit in the family room. The house feels cooler overall, but the family room feels warmer. I rarely use my air conditioner, so I believe I would achieve the desired results faster if I did. The unit makes a sound similar to a low setting fan when I am in the room. Some people have had difficulty replacing the canister, but I have found that placing the unit on a level surface solves this issue. -
Quality Top-Rated Dehumidifier Available
Review by GeminiJade / (Posted on 4/4/2020)We highly recommend the Impecca brand of dehumidifiers, especially the 4500 model. Living near the beach means we deal with a lot of humidity, but these dehumidifiers have been incredibly effective and reliable. We previously tried another brand, which didn't work at all, but the Impecca 4500 has been a game-changer for us. We love the design and functionality, and the fact that it's able to remove 1.75 liters of water from the air per day is impressive. Our indoor humidity levels have drastically improved, and we no longer have issues with mold. Overall, we are very satisfied with these Impecca dehumidifiers. -
Quality Everything's going well!
Review by KareFollowinstructions / (Posted on 3/7/2020)My experience with the new dehumidifier in our crawl space has been very positive. We initially had issues with water puddles in the crawl space, and the old dehumidifier became loud and inefficient after an HVAC maintenance visit. After investing in additional waterproofing and purchasing a new dehumidifier, we have seen a significant improvement in the humidity levels. The new dehumidifier is also quiet and has made a noticeable difference in the overall humidity in the crawl space. We will continue to monitor its performance and provide updates in the future. -
Quality First-time buyer, slightly noisy, but gets the job done.
Review by CJUsername / (Posted on 2/24/2020)I bought a smaller unit without knowing much about them, and it turned out to be ineffective. It was rated for 100 cubic feet, not square feet, which is a major difference. The new one does a much better job and can run for a couple of hours before needing to empty the water bin. I can't speak to its energy efficiency as I haven't assessed that. It is a bit louder than I expected, but I mainly run it when I'm out of the house. It is easy to maneuver, even up and down stairs. Overall, I wish it were quieter, but I am still happy with my purchase as it makes the Florida heat more bearable. -
Quality Extremely effective at removing water from my basement.
Review by MysteryMan / (Posted on 1/24/2020)After using this Item for one summer, I am happy to report that all the features work well and it is quiet. However, it is heavy and difficult to move on carpet, and it uses a significant amount of energy. I was surprised to see my electric bill double after running it constantly for a couple of weeks to control humidity. It used as much power as my whole-house A/C unit. -
Quality Figuring it out as I go...
Review by CrystalWanderer / (Posted on 1/11/2020)I'm using the dehumidifier in a new structure near the Minnesota/Canadian border. The dehumidifier was able to reduce humidity levels in a large, damp space, despite not coming with an instruction manual. I noted that the dehumidifier was not too loud and I'm waiting to see how it performs over a full season cycle. They also mention challenges with internet access and receiving a printed instruction booklet. -
Quality A well-built contraption but I have two issues
Review by Zumbonator / (Posted on 1/10/2020)After using the dehumidifier for 24 hours, I noticed water leaking from the machine due to the threaded cap on the continuous operation water drain not being tightened properly. Additionally, the full bucket switch in the upper left corner seems flimsy and I am unsure if it is missing a cover for the spring metal switch activator. I would appreciate if the manufacturer could provide a photo or line drawing of the switch design to help me verify if there is any missing part or cover. Thank you. Please send the information to jameszumbo@gmail.com. -
Quality Smooth sailing
Review by EvergreenHiker / (Posted on 1/10/2020)I have been using this product for about 2 weeks and so far it's been working well. It is a bit noisy, but that seems to be common for dehumidifiers of this type. It shuts off when full and we're planning to use the hose option to avoid having to empty it. This unit is in a finished basement, replacing a smaller one that stopped working after two years. I hope this one lasts longer. I gave it four stars because of the loud fan. Setting it up was easy, but it's a little heavy so I recommend having two people to remove it from the box. -
Quality So Far, the Dehumidifier is Working Well.
Review by GreenGoddess / (Posted on 1/6/2020)This dehumidifier has been working well so far. I had a previous one that only lasted a year, but this one has been running smoothly all last summer. The controls are simple and easy to use, but there are a couple of reasons why I gave it 4 stars. Firstly, the dead-band is narrow, causing it to turn on and off within a minute, even though it's not in a breezy area. Secondly, the reservoir is a bit tricky to put back in - you have to gently hit both sides at the same time, it doesn't just slide in easily. I'm hopeful it will continue to do well next summer. -
Quality High quality item, performs excellently.
Review by SethRandel / (Posted on 1/2/2020)After letting this Item sit for 24 hours as instructed, I turned it on next to my bathroom and was surprised by its effectiveness. Within just 1 hour, it reduced the humidity in the room by 10%. It works very quickly and consistently fills up the tank within 24 hours. The tank does seem a bit small given its power, but setting up a drain hose would solve that issue. It is a bit loud in turbo mode, but manageable. In a consistently humid environment, it may reach a point where it can't reduce humidity any further, but it still significantly improves the overall humidity levels. -
Quality The Item drains as expected!
Review by WallaceDale / (Posted on 12/20/2019)This Item of companies does not provide a comprehensive understanding of how to use and operate this equipment. I initially connected a hose line to divert the water, but later discovered it was not working because the reservoir was full, which is not what I wanted. I have placed the dehumidifier on a platform with a hose connected to drain below the device into a pump. Why do I still need to empty the reservoir? I am still adjusting the setup to test if it will automatically drain. The machine is relatively quiet, but I can hear it running from my kitchen. I appreciate the warmth it adds to my basement. -
Quality Error, try to refresh the page and re-open the addon. If the problem persists, please contact us.
Review by VibrantLime / (Posted on 11/24/2019)This dehumidifier is a beast at pulling in moisture, but emptying the bucket is a hassle. It's easy to set up and move around, and you can customize the settings. However, the bucket is hard to remove and clean, and the machine is very loud. If you can deal with the drawbacks, it's worth it for the effectiveness. Otherwise, consider a different model. -
Quality Updated Impressions - APRIL 2021
Review by GoldenPhoenix / (Posted on 11/12/2019)After using the Impecca 70-pint dehumidifier for 8 months, I initially rated it 4 stars, but recently encountered some issues with it icing up and leaking water. I reached out to the seller and they sent me a new unit, which has been working well for the past five months. It seems to have an updated or redesigned auto defrosting system, as I haven't had the same problem as with the first unit. Overall, I am now pleased with its performance and reliability, and would recommend it. -
Quality Delightfully astounded
Review by DaisyMay123 / (Posted on 9/21/2019)I needed to reduce the dampness and odor in my raised ranch house, especially in the finished, carpeted basement. I was surprised to see the dehumidifier's tank full of water after just one afternoon of running. The noticeable noise wouldn't be suitable for a bedroom at night, but it didn't bother me during the day. The clean design is easy to wipe off, although the unit is a bit large and heavy. It has casters, but isn't recommended to be dragged across carpet. Overall, I'm very happy with it and would recommend it. -
Quality Issue with connected hose
Review by Flintfire / (Posted on 9/20/2019)This dehumidifier does not work as advertised. I connected a hose to the back, but it did not pump out water. Even when I elevated it on a chair, I still had to manually empty the bucket. It's frustrating that it has a hose connector but doesn't pull out water. Disappointing. -
Quality Ideal for Florida townhouse
Review by HallowedHawk / (Posted on 9/14/2019)This humidifier gets the job done but it's not very energy efficient. I initially had it running 24/7 on auto and my electricity bill went up $50. Now I only run it while I'm at work during the hottest part of the day and my bill has gone down $30. It does a great job of maintaining the humidity level, and the filter and tank are easy to clean and empty. It's not super quiet, but it's not too bothersome given its size. Overall, I'm happy with it, but it's the first humidifier I've bought so I don't have anything to compare it to. I use it in my 1100sqft Florida townhome and it works well in keeping the upstairs at a comfortable humidity level despite it being warmer up there. I keep it set to 45% and the tank needs to be refilled every day and a half if it's used continuously. -
Quality Effortless and effective!
Review by Emberlyn / (Posted on 8/20/2019)I live in the mid-west where the weather is usually humid and rainy, but this year has been even worse than usual. I finally decided to get a dehumidifier for my damp basement. After researching and reading reviews, I chose the Impecca model and I'm so glad I did. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up. Within a few hours, I had to empty the water collection bucket multiple times. Once I hooked it up to a drain, my basement was completely dry within a couple of days. I am amazed at how well it works and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I am even considering buying another one for the upstairs. Highly recommend this machine! -
Quality Acceptable to me. Working well.
Review by Nexj / (Posted on 8/13/2019)After buying a dehumidifier, it's difficult to write a review right away. The key factor is its longevity, as it should last for several years. The last two I've had stopped working due to a broken thermostat or something similar, which could have been easily prevented with a better quality part. However, this new dehumidifier is working well so far. It has a comfort setting to automatically control the humidity based on the temperature and cycles on and off as needed. I have two minor criticisms, the first being that the container for emptying the water seems small and the second being that the connection for the hose is too close to the dehumidifier body, causing water condensation and dripping. Overall, we are happy with it and hope it lasts longer than our previous ones. Only time will tell. -
Quality Almost there, just one thing to fix.
Review by Cormicor / (Posted on 7/26/2019)I'm still trying to figure out how to give a 1/2 star, so it really should be 4.5 stars. I bought the Impecca dehumidifier to replace my old one, which had a failed compressor and was causing high humidity in my basement. This dehumidifier works very well, quickly evaporating water, and even the turbo fan option isn't too loud. I have it draining into a small pump, which emptied many times in the first few hours of use. I also appreciate the energy star rating and look forward to seeing the decrease in electricity usage. The only drawback is that the air intake is in the back, making it awkward to place near a wall in a basement. I solved this by turning the unit around, though it does make the control panel upside down. Overall, I'm pleased with its performance. -
Quality Works perfectly!
Review by ABHIR / (Posted on 7/23/2019)We purchased this for our basement in New Hampshire, where humidity can be an issue. After just a few hours, we noticed a significant improvement. The only downside is that I mistakenly thought it held 9 gallons, when in fact it only holds about 1.5 gallons and needs to be emptied frequently. Despite this, the unit shuts off when full, which is a great feature. I plan to eventually connect it to a drain system to avoid constant emptying. It is also extremely quiet, which I love. Overall, I am very pleased with the unit. -
Quality Performs task swiftly
Review by SunsetFire / (Posted on 7/22/2019)This product deserves a lengthy Amazon review, as it has exceeded my expectations. After moving into a house with a dehumidifier that couldn't keep up with the humidity level in the basement, I decided to purchase this one. Within 10 hours, it filled the bucket and dropped the humidity from 85% to 46%. I also moved the old dehumidifier to a different room in the basement with a water leak, and it barely collected any water in the same amount of time.
Although this dehumidifier is a little loud, it is not much worse than our old one and may even be quieter. The sound of water dripping into the bucket is a small price to pay for a dry and comfortable basement.
I bought a larger unit than necessary, but it is working effectively in my 800 sq ft finished basement. I appreciate that it has a removable and cleanable filter, unlike our old unit. I plan to buy another one for my unfinished basement room in the future, despite the high cost. However, I wish it came with a drain tube as stated in the manual. If this dehumidifier does not last for several years, I will be disappointed, as I did not opt for the additional warranty plan. Overall, I hope that this dehumidifier continues to work effectively as it has in the first 10 hours. -
Quality Securing our investment with Impecca was a success!
Review by ElectricVoyage / (Posted on 7/12/2019)We recently finished our basement in a 1938 home and noticed that it was consistently cool during the summer. While this may seem like a good thing, higher humidity levels can lead to mold growth, which is a concern for us. Despite having waterproofing in place, we suspected that moisture was still seeping through the concrete floor. To confirm our suspicions, we purchased a hygrometer and a mold test, and found that the humidity levels were consistently around 65-67%. To address this issue, we decided to purchase the 70 pint Impecca dehumidifier, as our basement is approximately 1,000 sq ft. Since setting it up, the dehumidifier has been able to maintain the humidity level at 55% and has significantly reduced the humidity to the low 50's. It runs intermittently and is not overly loud. We have it draining to our sump pump, so we can't measure the exact amount of water it removes, but we have noticed a considerable difference in the humidity levels. Additionally, we appreciate the sleek design and maneuverability of the unit. We may update our review after monitoring its energy consumption, but overall, we are satisfied with its performance in keeping our basement dry and mold-free. -
Quality Loud machine, not peaceful, though.
Review by VictorLearner / (Posted on 7/6/2019)This machine is very effective at removing moisture, and we use it constantly since we live in the south. Here are a few helpful tips: 1. Because it doesn't have a pump, we have to place it on top of our vanity in the bathroom to allow the water to drain using gravity through a hose. If it's not high enough, we have to empty the bucket frequently. 2. The recommended hose connector didn't work, but we were able to find the correct 3-foot hose at our local hardware store. Also, the customer service at Impecca was very responsive when I reached out for help. -
Quality Functions properly.
Review by PattiSunshine / (Posted on 6/30/2019)Grear dehumidifier! Our home is a split level with just under 2200 square feet and we've been using it for 3 days. The initial start up has made a huge difference, getting rid of the musty damp smell in the basement. The fan is a little loud and can be heard upstairs from the hallway downstairs where it's placed. I find the water container design tricky to deal with, especially when trying to put it back in when it's full. The reservoir gets very close to the top when full, making it difficult to maneuver. However, the handle is convenient for carrying the reservoir to the sink. -
Quality Quickly remove water - bucket stability issue when removed!
Review by NeonRider / (Posted on 6/10/2019)After using this dehumidifier for 3 days in a fairly humid basement, I've found that it removes water quickly and is relatively quiet compared to cheaper models I've used in the past. I haven't connected it to a hose for drainage, so I've been emptying the buckets. While removing the bucket isn't a big issue, it's important to note that it won't stand on its own like other models I've had. Inserting the empty bucket back in takes some getting used to due to the guide rails along the bottom, so it's best to go slow. Overall, I am satisfied with the dehumidifier, although I deducted a star due to the bucket issue. -
Quality Completely Resolved the Moisture Problem
Review by FizzyGlow / (Posted on 1/26/2019)After being warned that new concrete can take up to 5 years to cure and can lead to mold and mildew, we discovered significant condensation and mildew in our 1200 square foot open basement. Heating wasn't an option, so we opted for a dehumidifier that could work in a large area. After setting it up and running it constantly, the wet corner dried up within a week and no other areas or furniture were affected. Even during extremely cold temperatures, the dehumidifier was able to keep the basement dry. While we still proceed with caution, we are very satisfied with the results and would highly recommend this unit. -
Quality A Reliable Performer!
Review by WesternMama / (Posted on 12/10/2018)I have been running my dehumidifier non-stop since December 2018 and it has been a great investment. I do minimal maintenance and have never had any issues with it. It has effectively prevented mold and mildew in my bedroom and bathroom. While it can heat up the room in the summer, I usually just keep it on and turn my ceiling fan on high for air circulation. My bedroom and bathroom lack air movement, especially in the winter when we primarily use wood heat. This resulted in moldy clothes, leather, and condensation on my windows. After doing research, I decided on the Impecca dehumidifier and it has made a significant difference. It is about as loud as a window unit air conditioner, and I plan on ordering a smaller one for my closet. I highly recommend this dehumidifier for anyone facing humidity problems. -
Quality Getting the job done. Installed in the crawl space ...
Review by mjbindy / (Posted on 10/25/2017)This Item is doing its job well. I have installed it in my crawl space for the summer and it has made a significant difference. Despite having a DIY encapsulated crawl space, the humidity was still around 70%. With this device set up to auto drain to the sump, the humidity is now at 37-40%. The unit is quiet and has had no trouble handling the humidity in my crawl space. -
