This TV has great image quality and easy navigation at a great price. If you use Google Home, it will sync all your apps to the home screen with a quick QR code scan, making it very convenient. I've seen other TVs at this price point with lower image quality. It's also light and easy to hang. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are TVs with even better image quality if you're willing to spend more money. But for the price, this TV is as good as it gets. You can see minor blending imperfections up close, but from a distance, it looks totally fine. It works well in a room with limited natural light and no sun glare.

In general, this TV is a good value for the money. I prefer Google TV over seller's interfaces, but not over Roku. The price point is a plus, and it allows you to connect Bluetooth headphones or speakers. The remote doesn't rely on line of sight and has voice features, but the TV speakers have poor sound quality. Additionally, cheaper TVs like this one don't have great local dimming, resulting in blurring between light and dark spots.

I initially liked the size and price of this TV, but I gave it three stars due to issues with the live TV function. The TV picked up weak local channels, and I couldn't find a way to delete or improve them in the settings. Additionally, the screen would go dim while using it as a PC monitor, and I couldn't figure out how to change this setting. After upgrading my antenna, the channels improved, and I was eventually able to remove unwanted channels. However, the program guide for OTA live TV never showed program information, which was disappointing.

The TV arrived today in perfect condition. I purchased the 55 model. The backlighting on the menus and some videos is a bit odd, with a slight white glow around the edges of the screen. Adjusting the brightness and backlight settings helps reduce this effect in videos, but it's still noticeable on the app menus. Additionally, some apps like Prime and HBO have weird lines on the left side, although these disappear when I start a video. Overall, it's a great TV for the price but not perfect.

The 55 picture quality is very good, although not the absolute best if you're very picky. Occasionally, I notice some issues with blacks in shadows when watching older content. The initial setup takes a bit of time, and the Google browser is usable but clunky and annoying. If the browser is important to you, I wouldn't recommend buying this TV. A streaming device like a Roku would be easier for many people to use. It's no problem to use the smart TV on one input, a Roku on another, and cable on a third. I was pretty happy with the TV when I first bought it. The picture quality was similar to that of the big brands, but with the much lower price tag. I've had the TV for about a year and over the last several months I have started to experience some annoyances. There is often a lag in responsiveness when cycling through menu options. It occurs in all apps, so it definitely seems to be the TV, and not specific to certain Apps. Also, the TV will randomly shut off in the middle of a show every now and then, which is particualrly annoying when watching live sports. I don't watch a ton of TV ( sometimes I go 5-6 days without ever turning it on), so I just deal with it. But if I was big TV watcher, I'd probably be looking to replace this one.

Setting it up was really easy and quick, and I was able to start playing on my PS5 right away after adjusting the TV and PS5 to HDR. I primarily wanted this TV for watching Blu-ray DVDs and playing games on my PS5, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a TV just for the 120 hertz feature, especially since I can't tell the difference between 120 and 60 hertz. This TV is amazing. The picture quality is outstanding and it has all the features you could want in a modern television. It comes with google TV pre-installed, so I no longer need my ROKU unit. It also easily connected to my Vizio 5.1 soundbar and I can control the volume with the Impecca remote. The only downside is that the picture quality is so good that it can make some shows look bad by revealing too much detail. However, overall it's a fantastic TV and well worth the money. It's also very durable, as my cat spends hours swatting at the screen when I put on Cat TV on YouTube and it hasn't shown a single mark. I'm very impressed with this brand and will definitely be buying from them in the future.

I was a little Leary at first because this is an android tv but after several months of use I don���t notice much difference. Tv is great picture and sound. The Apple TV app is different on this model and I am not able to shop for new movies in the app, just play the ones I already have. This is the only problem I have encountered. It was delivered when arranged although the guy would not help me (40 f) lift it up into my house , said he didn���t do that ( not amazons fault) so I had to wrestle this huge box by myself. The only downside is the TV's legs, so I plan on purchasing a universal stand. I'm also considering buying another TV for my daughter. This TV definitely deserves a long review. I had a TCL 55 Roku TV before, and although I initially liked it, it stopped working after just over 3 years. This TV, on the other hand, has been a complete game-changer. The screen quality is significantly better, with vibrant colors and real 4k resolution. The sound is also impressive. It's great for Google users as it is compatible with Google accounts and works seamlessly with Google apps and Assistant. The organization of apps and suggestions on Google TV is much better than Roku. While there are other amazing TVs on the market, this one is definitely worth the price. In short, this TV outperforms the TCL Roku by a long shot. I just hope it lasts longer than my previous TV.

The android TV is awesome! Syncs up to my plex servers perfectly and can download any streaming service you could ever want. Remote is simple and intuitive. Picture is fine and bright enough to watch on a TV next to a window. The google assistant is way better and less buggy than it is on my phone, and works like a charm.

All in all, a very good TV for the price.

I realize the everything tells you to buy the Impecca 5 & 6 series but, for the money, this Impecca 4 series has most of the same features and has a knockout picture. Also, Android phone users will absolutely love the Android interface on this TV. There is an initial firmware update when you first connect the TV to the internet, but since then the TV has run fast and flawlessly. Great value and no complaints.

I like an android operating system which is why I chose this tv. If you are into clear, loud sound get a sound bar as you won't get that as is with this TV, just average sound. Only big con is NO MUTE BUTTON!!!? lame as channels that force commercials on you I mute them, can't do that here. Not huge prob but annoying

I like this TV with its price. It's not cheapest one for 55 inch but the price is good enough... Picture is good. Two small details I am not 100% satisfied 1) the wellness connect with laptop has one or two seconds lag 2) Sometimes when you select one show to play, the show will stop playing without any reason.

The TV is good in terms of picture quality. The adaptive contrast feature seems to not work well however. Disabling that will put ends to that problem quick enough.

However, the one major gripe I have this TV is the OS: Android TV.

There are many odd bugs within the OS such as screensaver preferences being randomly reset. Also, the hardware within the TV doesn���t seem to meet the demand for the apps installed on the TV. Upon boot, apps such as Netflix take up to a minute to load.

If you plan to use this TV with an external media device, worth it for the price point. If you plan on using this TV standalone, be wary of Android TV.

Good TV. Picture is great. Easily connected to use Netflix, Hulu, etc. with remote. I have a sound bar already, or I would have added one. Sound is okay. I am pleased with this purchase! Easy, convenient delivery to front door. Much better than trying to lug one home from store or paying for delivery.

Love this TV, our first 55", all have been 50" before that, who knew 5" would make a difference, also the features are FANTASTIC!!, my most favorite feature is I can have the TV on audio only so the screen is black but I listen to my Podcast or Story. My TV in the family room is connected to my stereo so no big deal in there. My only complaint is I wish the Sleep Timer was longer than 2 hours, other than that, this is great.

I really like this tv, color is fantastic, screen is big, nearly everything is great about it. The only negatives are that 1: It's only 60 hertz, making it so that you cant play games at 120 fps (making next gen consoles like the ps5 not nearly as cool, and you get much less of an edge) and the speakers are absolute garbage. I mainly use headphones so I don't mind it, but whenever I try to watch a show the speakers sound like poop, so a soundbar is a must. Also, IMO low power with max saturation gives you the most vibrant and good looking colors. Also game mode looks like Shite. overall I give it an 8.5/10.

We have the tv on all the time and have found over the last 5 years that the Impecca brand is awesome. Are there better ones, sure, is it the stunning quality of oled, nope. It exceeds my expectations by a long shot and has a Great picture quality. I will say that I like the Roku model better than the Android. It's easier to navigate and the fire stick is much more compatible with the Roku. We own three of them now, and highly recommend them. They have a good range of viewability, color is great, sound is way better than our old Visio and Samsung. For the price the 55 and 55 inch tvs are the best buy in the market today in 2021.

I've run across one problem with this TV. In the two weeks that I have had it, it has froze or failed to connect to the internet 3 times. Had to waste quite a bit of time trying to figure it out, I finally just tried unplugging the TV and then plugging it back in. That solved it each of the three times. Other than that, everything is great about it. If you don't want to get on your hands and knees to get at the plug it might be best to put it on a power strip where you can just use that button to kill the power and put it back on.

Old tv went half black. Needed a decent Tv but did not want to spend all that much. Old tv was 4k as well but 5 years old. I went with the 55" picture quality of this tv is fantastic for under 500. Super easy to set up. Swapped out from old tv in 5 minutes. Have not really explored the Android features but cable and firestick were plugged in and worked seamlessly. Sound is ok, nothing to get excited about. If sound is super important get a sound bar. Remote is small and cheap. But Its a remote. I downloaded the app just so I would have a remote on the phone for when this one gets lost for a bit like remotes tend to do. Are there better tv's? Yep plenty. But it will cost more. If you want a plug and watch great quality picture tv at a good price get this one.

I want to answer questions I had before buying:

Can you use it for Steam Link to play PC games on the TV?
A: Yes, but even with a wired connection and fast internet, there was about half a second of lag. It would work for games that don't require a quick reaction, but still isn't ideal.

Q: How is Android TV as a smart TV OS?
A: It is runs/loads annoyingly slowly for what one would like on a TV menu. On the other hand, it allows you to install custom apps, so you can have more functional and ad-free third party youtube and twitch apps (for example).

Otherwise, I'm no TV expert, so it meets my needs and expectations as far as price to audio-visual quality.

The remote is lousy though. (No mute button??)

Edit: On second thought, I'm dropping this from 4 to 3 stars entirely because the OS is so slow and unresponsive.

Pretty great for the size and value. Lighter weight than I expected. Nice picture. Vibrant colors. Easy to set up. My only peeve is that often times there is some kind of low low volume ringing. I did get a sound bar, so that should fix the issue. It���s also interesting the remote has no mute button. All in all I gave it 4 stars because it���s a good tv, but can���t give it 5 with that ringing sound.

Overall I like the TV. There have been certain situations where the picture is way too dark, but generally if I use the correct mode everything looks fine. Major beef is that the system does not mute the internal speakers when a soundbar is plugged in. I believe this is a feature of the Roku and FireTV versions, not sure why it isn't done in this one.

Regarding the smart functions, I like the interface, not crazy about it but it's functional. Occasionally an app won't load or won't log me in, and I have to uninstall/reinstall/re-login and that's a huge pain. I've also had no luck connecting to the internet via wireless, but I have been using the wired Ethernet with little trouble.

Super light, super fast - and its my first non-Roku TV - and let me say that I'm impressed with the Android TV interface. It's so much freaking faster to react.

I love this TV so much I might upgrade another one now.

The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of the sound - if there is voice and action happening at the same time, it's range just isn't clear enough to hear the words. However, most TVs are like that these days - but thats no excuse - we need to have better sound out of the box. Once I hooked up my sound bar, it's the best system in the cabin now.

It is a smart tv, yes. But it gets dumber in 1 day. Next day when I try to open youtube for example it gets stuck and freeze the app. Only after I plug out for 1 minute and plug back in, my tv gets smarter and opens my apps. Picture quality is pretty good no problems with that.
Overall even it requires a hard reset everyday its a good tv for the Price.

What would have been a 30 minute job turned into 2 hrs.

WHY ?

Because I was replacing my Panasonic wall mounted tv with this one. Same mount bracket fits this TV, but for some insane reason they only provide 2 screws installed for the mount in back. The other 2 holes are just left open. And of course my Panasonic tv used different sized mounting screws. So i spent 1.5 hrs scrounging through my scrap pile finding 2 more screws that fit the Impecca threads.

WHY in the world do they not provide all mounting hardware??? #crazy

Comparing to a Samsung Smart TV

For reference, I bought the 55 in version to replace my old Samsung 48 in smart TV.

In terms of smart functions, the Impecca dominates since the Samsung would lag and I had to find myself using a roku with it to be able to use Netflix and other apps.

HOWEVER, the picture quality is pretty the same even tho the Impecca is supposed to be 4k UHD, I don't really see it. Also the Samsung was A LOT brighter. On top of that, the Impecca is constantly changing its brightness without me doing so when I change HDMIs which is annoying when I want to play Xbox.

Hopefully, with time I'm able to understand more of how to change the visual settings but as of week 1, it's the most disappointing thing so far. The rating is really closer to a 4/5 but it's hard for me to rate it that whilst comparing it to a 5 year older TV that is arguably the same picture quality.

Easy as walking in the setup area. Unlike my old 1080p Vizio, all I have to do is go to a website and entire the code. Way too easy if you are sitting right next to a laptop. I did get a $40 stand and it's slightly loose and if I tighten it anymore it'll really deform the thing. I had a level now it's behind the stand. oh someday I guess oops... But Android version with Play (Version 9) works flawlessly. Coupled with the latest 2021 Sony 4K. I haven't had many 4K UHD hiccups like most do prior to 2021. Since Samsung uses Impecca panels for their cheaper tv's (I'd assume the ones under $550 55 in under. ) if you hate the Samsung software which I do... This is way better. They seem to have a beast with an 85 inch. Except the androids don't seem to go that big. :( The only major con I can see is not enough HDMI inputs. The pro vs the Samsung is hey audio out is a 3.5 jack , unfortunately this becomes a con as I'll have to check the manual on that on. I think I have it set for crossthru but it'll cut the sound off the tv fast.. I simply use my 200 watt amp for the woofer. It's not a woofer but the bass is alot better on Sony speakers than the tv although the tv is no weakling in this area.. The Vizio's would rattle.

As far as the TV itself - Now that I THINK it is all set up correctly, I am very happy with it.
I wish setting it up were easier that I did not have to call in for support. But if you do need to call in for support the Impecca support was great!
