I fixed this issue by adding heat shrinkable tubing to the ends of each rod, ensuring a secure fit. Additionally, if the contents of the door bins extend to the full depth, they can prevent the door from closing completely. Despite these concerns, the unit operates quietly and effectively cools and freezes a small amount of food. With some modifications, it is possible to safely store a quart of milk in the door bin.
